THE CONFESSION TREE

Yashiro Nene had a normal life- well, almost.

Her life was normal until a few days ago, when she met Hanako. It wasn't as bad as she thought, apart from the toilet cleaning duty she had to do. In her eyes, Hanako-kun was a cheerful and childish spirit that liked to have fun, even though he teased her sometimes, she still considered him as a friend.

During gardening class, the girl started to get lost in thought, she had a flustering incident this morning- which she really didn't want to remember but did anyway. It had been a month since she met Hanako, he was mischievous and, according to Yashiro, "Not her type."

She couldn't avoid him, but thanks to him she helped her save her best friend, Aoi, and met the adorable Mokke. Her grip on the tap tightened when Nene thought about yesterday, when the spirit kissed her cheek.

While remembering, she wondered, does Hanako-kun like her?

For her, it all added up, it explained why he was protective of her, why he kissed her out of nowhere and the reason behind him helping her get her friend back.

"Nene-chan! What's up? You're making funny faces!" Aoi spoke, snapping the girl out of her thoughts. "AOI, LISTEN!" Yashiro yelled.

The red-eyed girl started explaining her situation with the childlike ghost. When she finished her speech the petite girl looked at her happily "I think... That means he likes you, Nene-chan!".

"You think so!? I KNEW IT!" the radish legged girl yelled once more, Aoi nodded "If he kissed you outta nowhere, that's the only explanation!".

"B-B-But he's not really my type...!" Yashiro stuttered, realizing that since she only fell for prince-like boys, Hanako-kun was nowhere near being her ideal 'boyfriend'. Aoi looked at her in confusion, "Oh, what's he like?". Nene gulped, it wasn't easy talking about him without saying he was a spirit, but she still tried her best.

"He doesn't have much of a presence. A-And he has these.. big round eyes. He's shorter than me and is surprisingly good in a fight.." She described the boy. "That's definitely not you type..." "Oh no! What if he c-c-c-confesses his love to me!? I don't know what i'd do!" Yashiro blushed at the thought.

"But... Why don't you date him, just to try it out?"

"W-WHAT!?" She replied in a shocked tone, her face redder than it was before.

Aoi continued talking saying things like 'You're easily fooled by a pretty face' and 'It is all about expirience'. "Anyway, you should make sure you're emotionally prepared! At the rate you're going, I'm sure he'll confess soon!"

"YOU THINK SO!? DO YOU REALLY THINK SO!?" She couldn't believe it, this was going to be her first confession!. "Well, it's the big thing these days..!" Yashiro tilted her head in confusion as Aoi continued "See? Over there! The confession tree."

━ They say the god of romance grew that tree, and any couple who confesses their love will be bound together in love..

"Sounds cliché, i know."

'Did we have a tree like that?' The blonde-like haired girl questioned. Aoi pointed at Akane, who seemed practicing his confession under a tree, with Yamabuki playing the role of his crush, clearly not taking it seriously and on his phone.
