"1, 2, 3, 4.....5 and 6, 7, 8..."

My body, delicate and flowing, swayed with the master piece of Mr. Dean's playing. Right foot, left foot, grand jete here, sissonne fermee, and end in fourth position. I quietly mumbled to myself as the ballad ended. Miss Winn smiled ear to ear and clapped her hands together shaking her head from left to right multiple times.

"An amazing job as always girls! It was stunning! All of you did fantastic. Don't forget to talk to your parents about the winter competition this year we have 5 months and I'd love for all of you to come. Okay well that will end todays class you guys may go! Practice!"

All of us exited through the rosy red door, ballet bags in hand, quiet giggles echoed through the silent, almost vacant, studio as I resigned from my shoes for the night. Droplets of rain pitter-pattered across the asphalt in front of me. I stood in my place under the lamp post that flickered every other minute as I waited for my roommates black Cadillac to ride across the sidewalk, but for now I shiver under the light and wait.

It'd been two hours, and still, I stood shivering under the lamp post. Head lights after head lights passed by but never did one stop to let me in to the warm environment it held inside. Sick and tired of waiting, I pulled my phone from my bag and dialed. 1 ring, 2 rings, 3 rings and I'm sent to her damn voicemail. 'She's probably out partying....again,' my stupid subconscious added to my already annoyed thoughts.

By now it was midnight, and here I stand dying out in the cold, teeth chattering, body shaking, and my hands rapidly moving up and down my arms to conceive some amount of warmth. Finally a black Cadillac pulls up in front of me. As I'm about to take a step closer, the window roles down and a deep husky, British accent follows.

" You need a ride love?" With the small amount of light above I see his black hair, perfectly structured face, and a small smirk playing on his lips.

"No thank you." Finally, he turns on a light in the car and I see him perfectly and with this perfect view he looks so familiar, it is not even funny.

"Look love, your roommate Jane sent me to get you she's wasted and can't drive." I contemplate on getting in the car or just walking back to the university, but instead of walking I make my way to the car and climb in.

"Thanks."

"No problem. I know how Jane is. She parties way too much." A deep chuckle fell from his plump lips that wore a striking smile. I giggled along side taking in every inch of his face. His eyes are a hazel and turn pure gold in the LED car light,  his hair is spiked up, gelled to the left .

"I'm Gracelynn by the way." My head hung low finding my thumbs very interesting while I talked to this familiar stranger sitting beside me in Jane's car.

"I'm Zayn."

The rest of the car ride was filled with small banter, like what we were studying and simple life questions. We pulled up in front of the apartment buildings and I sat there a while, listening to the soothing drops of rain. Zayn stared at me and smiled a small, friendly smile.

"Well it was nice meeting you Gracelynn. I'll see you around?" Zayn spoke after a couple minutes of pure silence.

"Ya I'll uh...see you around." I stuttered and smiled at him whilst picking up my ballet bag and exiting the car. About half way to the entrance of the apartment complex Zayn called my name.

"Gracelynn! You forgot your phone!" He jogged toward me and handed me my phone with a wide smile showing off his white teeth.

"Thanks," he had turned around before I spoke his name again,"Oh and Zayn? Call me Grace." Zayn smiled back at me and continued his walk back to his car before I turned around and entered my building with a small smile.
