KC sat in the café waiting for her friends to appear. It was Wednesday which meant breakfast with Aroon and Ale, the only people, aside from Ryan, that she trusted. Life in London was hard she worked on a bookstore by day and as a bartender by night. Ryan and KC had come to London for a better life, it was Ryan's idea, he wanted a change and he wanted KC to be part of that change, and now everything was going down.
She could hear the people talking around her, the clinking of plates and the coffee being made. Wonderland's Café was the name of the place, it was cheap and peaceful, that's why the fantastic trio, that's how Ryan and Colton(Aroon's boyfriend) called them, loved it. The door opens and there they were.
-Sorry for the lateness, SOMEONE...- says Aroon pointing at Ale, -...didn't want to get out of bed.-
-Well if two certain individuals weren't making loud noises at night, that certain someone wouldn't be so sleepy.- Ale pouted.
KC giggled at their bickering the relationship between those two was a sister/brother type of thing.
-YOU HEARD US?- asked Colton a little alarmed.
-Don't listen to her, Ale is always moody in the mornings.- Aroon said grabbing Colton's arm.
-You're staying for breakfast?- KC asked Colton.
-No, I gotta run to work.- he said and pecked Aroon in the mouth and then he left. For the first time KC felt jealous, she wanted what Colton and Aroon had they seemed so in love, and how she missed when Ryan hugged her from the back and kissed her for no reason.
-You two are so sweet, but I'm serious about the noises though.- said Ale.
-Shut up, you're just bitter because you're the only one in this table without a boyfriend. Right KC?-
-Yeah sure whatever you say.- said a gloomy KC.
Aroon and Ale could see the pain through those words. A waitress appeared to take their order. Which was stupid because they always ordered the same damn thing. Black coffee and apple pie. When the waitress left Aroon spoke.
- What's wrong?- he asked concerned.
- I don't know what you mean.- KC answered, though she new exactly what he was talking about.
-I think he means why do you look like someone killed your pet?- said Ale.
KC stares at the couple that was behind Ale, they were sharing their food and holding hands. Their eyes not leaving one another, like if they were the only ones in the world. She missed that feeling getting lost in Ryan's eyes, now she couldn't even see him without feeling pain.
-You know you can trust us, maybe we can help.- said Aroon while holding her hand.
-Michelle called me yesterday, she got the job as junior editor in Sparkle Magazine. She's happy.-
Ale and Aroon looked at each other in confusion.
-That's great...right?- asked Ale.
-Yeah of course it is, I'm so proud of her... It's just that one year ago she was a waitress and now she is a junior editor in a well known magazine... and I'm still the a bartender that works in a bookstore by day, and that barely pays her bills.- a tear escaped her eyes. She felt so trapped.
-I miss my family and friends and I know that if I had stayed in Chicago I would already be an actress or a writer. I came here with Ryan because he wanted a change and he wanted me to be part of it. But now we are two bitter souls living together.
I used to love his kisses, his lips locking with mine it felt so warm and good, it made a perfect symphony, now they're cold and with no emotion. I love Ryan, believe me, I will never stop loving him, he wasn't my first love, but he is my epic one. It hurts that what we had is lost.-
The waitress approached with their order.
-Maybe you should tell him what you feel.- said Ale.
-I can't it would add more stress to his life, I mean he just lost his job.-
-Maybe you should breakup with him.- said Aroon trying to avoid KC's eyes.
"Breakup with Ryan? I can't." She thought, yes she was unhappy, but it wasn't him it was London, this city changed both of them. She wanted to leave, she wanted her family, Michelle, she loved Aroon and Ale but it wasn't the same, but most of all she wanted Ryan by her side. KC didn't want to leave Ryan, she loved him and her life would be empty without him. A life without him would be like 500 years of solitude.
KC wanted her old life back, she remembered their first date. Ryan had tried to make it perfect, a night picnic in a little park near his apartment it was beautiful it had lights and flowers, but things didn't go as he planned. He spilled wine in KC's dress then a bug bit him and he spilled wine in his shirt. He was so frustrated that it made her laugh. So she told him that maybe it would be better for them to go to his apartment. When they got there he lend her a T-shirt and some shorts. And they sat in his couch watching a black & white movie, they cuddle and after a few minutes, they started kissing, their mouths colliding with one another, their tongues dancing with one another, he bit her lower lip and she gasped in ecstasy. In a matter of seconds he was on top of her, his kisses went from soft and sweet to a burning intensity. They both wanted it. Ryan bit KC's lower lip again and she moaned.
He smiled in reply and cupped her cheek. His lips leaving light pecks along KC's neck until he reached her earlobe and back down to her neck again.His heavenly fingers took off her shirt so he could kiss and nuzzle into her collar bone. KC's arms wrapped around him under his arms to his back. It was beautiful feeling, wonderful in every way she had never felt it before. Ryan's hands slid down her back taking her bra off. KC gently took his shirt off and started kissing his jaw. He cupped her breasts and held one lightly as he stroked his thumb across her nipple. He let his hands slip farther down to KC's waist and hip and then Ryan took off the last part of her lingerie.
"Ryan" she moaned softly and ran her nails up his back scratching him hard he moaned in pleasure. Ryan rolled off of KC and slipped his boxers off and to the floor. Tears were starting to fall from her eyes. It was a long time since she and Ryan had shared that type of intimacy.
