From Country to City

Chapter 3

~Ann's POV~

....but I really miss you. I want you back. No, I need you back Ann. I need you. My life has been a mess ever since you left."

-end voice mail-

I can't listen to the rest. I run out of the room and to the bathroom. I shut the door and began to cry. Why does he have to do this to me. He knows I can't handle having him in my life anymore. Why is he bothering me? What is he trying to get from me? I look in Ashley's cabinet for anything sharp. I need to find something. After digging for a little I was able to find a razor blade. I go up to the sink and the blade is almost at my skin.

~Kadence POV~

Everyone listens to the rest of the voicemail except me. We all know that Ann is in a depressed state and that she has cut before. I just don't want her to do it again. She has been trying so hard for the last 2 months to stop. And know having hearing his voice again, it has sent her over the edge. I just need to check on her and make sure that she is okay. As I near the bathroom I hear rummaging. What could Ann be looking for? She better not be searching for something sharp. I have to stop this. I open up or door to see Ann is just about to connect the razor blade to her skin.

"Ann! Don't do think to yourself."

She just looks at me with tears in her eyes. I slowly walk over to her and hold the hand with the razor blade in it and slowly pulls it away from her other arm.

"Ann, you will be okay. Come back to the room and we will talk. Okay?"

"Okay Kadence."

We walk back to the room and rejoin the circle.

"So, what should we do to this bastard?" Ally asks.

"I think we just drop it for know. He hasn't tried to hurt Ann yet, so if he calls again on our trip we will figure something else," suggests Kadence, "Sound good Ann?"

"Yes" she replies quietly.

"Well, it's almost noon. We should probably get ready to go," Ashley tells us. We all jump off the bed and hurries to go get ready.

"MOM!" Ashley calls, "WE ARE READY TO GO!"

"Okay I'll be right down."

We all go pile into Ashley's mom's mini van. I can't believe this is happening. We are heading to LA! I'm so excited.
