I headed out of the pack den and headed for the same place Bone and I had trained with feather yesterday, after I ate of course.
When I got there, Shadow wasn't there, so I guess I might as well practice my fighting posture that Shadow taught me a little about yesterday, Shadow said to use this posture before the actual fight to establish dominance over your oponent, but also to scare them. Yesterday was just a day where she taught us the basics, but after Bone left in her rage and embarassment, Shadow had said that I need to work on my fighting posture, and that we would be doing that today. I had took her words from yesterday into consideration, and I remembered the posture that she showed me, and started to practice.
I started with my ears raised and forward, eyes wide, wild, and angry, muzzle furrowed with lips lifted high, my fangs are barred, my tongue is tucked back and mostly out of sight, showing my red gums, as red is considered to be a threatening color, my stance is crouched and ready to leap, tail is straight out or raised, hooked in appearance, with the tip often twitching to the left. All of my attention is bearing down on the target, which I decided is going to be the water fall in the center of the cavern, and wait only for an opportunity to lunge.
With all my attention on the waterfall in front of me, I had not noticed that Shadow had come in and started watching me, I got startled and stopped when she started speaking, "What did that waterfall do to you?"
I jumped and turned to look at her, she sat there with a sly expression, "Jeez don't do that, you startled me!" I spoke in a loud tone. She just kept looking at me, staring at me. Creepy. I decided to break the awkward silence," What, do i got something stuck to my fur?" I asked turning in cirlces to see, she disrupted my turning with a proud voice, " No, you just learn really quick. I only showed you that posture one time and you got it perfect on your first try over the course of a whole day! I'm proud of you, and today I thought that I was going to have to teach you how to do that posture properly, now what to do?"
I felt a sense of accomplishment. I'm glad that I did that properly, because if I didn't I would feel very embarrassed doing that posture wrong while looking like I wanted to kill a waterfall, man would I look stupid.
I want to do everything perfect and to my best ability so that when the actual battle comes, I can do my absalute best and defeat as many wolves as possible so our pack can remain the strongest, and to start I have to scare the oponent first. my posture is probably better than Bones!
Hey, speaking of Bone shouldn't she be here by now? I broke Shadow out of her pondering state to ask her, maybe she'll know, " Hey Shadow, do you know where Bone is? She should be here by now." Shadow stopped her muttering and looked up towards me and spoke, " Oh, I forgot to tell you, Bone will be training with another wolf because Reaper heard about the traing mishap between you and Bone yesterday and decided it would be best to train you seperatly." She spoke in a bored tone.
That definatly caught me off guard, I guess Bone and I can get really competitive when it comes to sparring with eachother and we can take it too far, but hey, she's the one that got mad because I kept tripping her. She knows that its my battle specialty from previous experiance and yet she still doesn't know how to dodge it.
Who is she training under now? it's as if Shadow can read my mind because she answers my question before I can say anything, " Reaper didn't say who Bone was going to be training under from now on, all he said was that if you asked why Bone wasn't here today to tell you that she's training under another wolf," I guess that makes sense, but that still doesn't answer my question of who shes training under, I guess I'll just ask her later. Shadow continued speaking, "Anyway since you already got the stance down, I guess today I will teach you how to get out of deadly situations" She finished, as she stood up from her previous sitting position. That actually doesn't sound to bad, but since Bone isn't here I will have to practice with Shadow. I may have more power over her but she has more experience on the battle field, and I don't have a good grasp on her battle techniques like I do Bones. its like going into a battle blind.
