Prologue

Flashback

About 2 years ago in 2017, I was in a car crash my car was totaled and I was in a coma. They had taken care of me in the state I was in, I just happened to wake up on my 21st birthday.

Before this crash had taken place, I had graduated as a language arts major at the University of Hawaii. I know about 8 languages besides the obvious 3 Chinese, English, Hawaiian.

As I was getting ready to leave the hospital, I was given the gravest news that anyone could ever receive. I was going to die before I turned 23, I just need to go through the correct procedures so I can prolong my death. I had asked if I move can they look after me at a different hospital? I wish to spend my last days doing what I wanted and not being handcuffed to a bed.

So that's why I'm here at the DMV getting my passport ready, I haven't decided where I'll be going yet but I plan on going none the less. I don't have to worry about the language barrier. I do remember watching shows and liking kpop.

I packed my things at home, putting sheets on the furniture I didn't want to sell the house. It's been in my family for years, my older brother, well half brother stays in Waikiki, I told him I'm leaving and I'll talk to him whenever.

I left the DMV heading to the bank, not sure what currency ill be needing I got 3.3 million Yuan which is like 500k in U.S dollars, I got 5 million yen which is like 50k in U.S dollars. I always wanted to go to South Korea, my brother was stationed there when he was in the army.

I got 10.7 million won which is like 10k in U.S. Dollars. Looks like I'll be heading to Hong Kong first, why not I can go visit my moms grave while I'm there.

I went home taking my meds, I think I'll spend a week in each place but I'll try to stay longer in Seoul. It's not like anyone is going to miss me, I've never been outside of U.S soil. My first secret would you like to know?

My mom is a Chinese American actress, didn't see that coming. But she died when I was really young, she was shot down on a movie set. My brother used to tell me stories, but he stopped he said it's my fault that she's dead.

Apparently, she had many haters. That she wasn't the traditional Chinese woman, that she busted her ass to make sure my brother and I were taken care off. All her money everything got given to us, I have never used a single cent of her money till now.

So yeah you can classify me as a rich bitch, that's fine. I'm not spoiled or bratty, I have manners which I always display. But some days which are more when I forget that I'm a girl in a Fucked situation, so I run my mouth more often.

If only my mother could hear me now, I make some spam and rice cos well braddah it's what we eat here. I wash my dishes and I get ready for bed. Tomorrow is my flight, and I can't wait to see what my mom's hometown looks like.
