I swear everything was normal.
I was practicing one of my scenes in a play I was going to preform in, Shion reading a book, when he just suddenly asked me a strange question.
"If I gave you a gun, and asked you to shoot me, would you do it?"
I turned around to look at him, I have never seen his eyes so cold and sad before.
Usually I would say 'What's with that bullshit?' Or 'Are you stupid?' But something stopped me from saying any of it.
"What do you mean..?" I ask slightly stuttering on my words. Shion just glances up at me, and my heart nearly shattered.
He looked almost broken.
"If I gave you a gun, and asked you to pull the trigger on me, would you do it?"
I hitched my breath as I thought about his question. My brain lead to many dead ends.
Could I emotionally pull that trigger on him..?
Sure he can be stupid sometimes, and takes way to many things to heart, but he is a good boy. He saved me all those years ago, no struggle, no blood shed, not any of his anyway.
Then I saved his life, from almost being put in a correctional facility.
What could have happened to make him say this..? I don't know.. I just can't think of it dammit!
"... I don't think I could." I finally manage to answer him. Shion's eyes widened as he looked at me.
"Why?"
"You saved me didn't you? Now it's my turn, plus I don't think my body would let me." I blurt out, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Why?" He asks again.
"I care about you dammit." I say taking a book and throwing it at him, Shion catching it in his palms.
I watch as his lips form a soft smile, his eyes brightening up.
"Thank you Nezumi."
