Clubs are boring. Who even invented clubs? Who woke up one day and though "Hey, you know what? Let's cram loads of people in a room, give them some music, and force them to socialise because otherwise they'll look like awkward sideliners! Great idea!" Why was I even there? I hate clubs. It must have been because my friends forced me into it. Ugh.

I was leaning against the wall, trying to get one last bit of runaway fruit from my glass of fruit punch into my mouth, when my friend, Jeyne, came bounding up to me.

"Sansa, hey Sansa! I've got someone I'd like you to meet!" She exclaimed. I groaned. This was going to be one of those pathetic, dim-witted guys that Jeyne kept trying to hook me up with. Brilliant.

Entirely unenthused, I grudgingly agreed to follow Jeyne to wherever this guy was. Jeyne hadn't told me that it was going to be a guy, but I just knew.

Recently, I had had a horrible breakup with my now ex-boyfriend, Loras Tyrell. Turns out, Loras was actually gay, and only got with me so that he had an excuse to see my cousin, Renly Baratheon. Well, Loras got with Renly and, after I caught them cheating (in bed) I quickly ended it and never spoke to Loras again. Needless to say I never again spoke to Renly either, and so things were incredibly awkward at the dinner table.

So, recently, Jeyne had taken it upon herself to find me a match. She'd shown me about, hm, let me think. 1, 2, 3, 4... I dunno. About 6 guys. All of whom were alright in the looks department but were pretty dumb and couldn't hold a proper conversation for more than five minutes. None of them were my type. To be honest, I don't really know what my type is.

And I know this guy won't be my type either.

Finally, Jeyne stopped us both in front of this group of guys chatting on the dance floor. Jeyne walked over to this one guy and, pulling him out of the crowd, led him over to me. Jeyne stood him next to her and, putting her hands behind her back and rocking slightly on her heels announced proudly "Sansa, this is Joffrey Lannister. Joffrey, this is Sansa Stark." Jeyne beamed. It annoyed me.

Joffrey Lannister put his hand out to shake mine. Reluctantly, I shook it.

"Nice to meet you, Sansa." He said.

"And you, I guess." I replied.

"Well, I'm glad you two are getting along so very well. I suppose I'll just leave you both to it then!" She winked at me and walked off, leaving myself and Joffrey to stare awkwardly at the floor.

"So, um... Do you want a drink?" Joffrey finally asked.

"Yeah, I suppose." I agreed.

We walked over to the table with the food and drink and Joffrey poured us both glasses of fruit punch. I suggested we sit at the nearest table.

"So how old are you?" Joffrey asked.

"Oh, I'm 18. You?"

"I'm 17. I shouldn't be allowed in this club but a friend of mine got me in." Joffrey said.

"Wow. Rebel." I joked.

"Yeah, I suppose." Joffrey laughed.

We sat in silence for a few moments before he finally said "Clubs can be so boring."

"Ugh, I know right! I mean, they can be fun for some people but for others, not so much." I stated.

"This one was particularly boring" he said.

"Was?" I inquired.

"Was, until I met you" he said.

"Oh" I said, taken aback. I wasn't quite sure how to respond to that.

"You're very beautiful, Sansa" I heard him say. And before I knew it, he was kissing me.

For a moment, I was too shocked to respond. Then, gathering my senses, I pushed him off me forcefully and yelled at him, "What the hell is wrong with you? You have no right! We barely know each other!"

Joffrey backed up. "Yes, okay, you're right. I shouldn't have done that." When I didn't respond, he added "Look, I'm sorry, ok? How can I make it up to you?"

"You can leave" I suggested.

"How about I... take you out for dinner or something?" He asked.

"No way. Not after what you just pulled."

"Sansa, just give me another chance? I promise I'll make it up to you. If not, you can, I dunno... chop off my head?"

I turned back around to face him. "Right now, I'm liking the sound of that. Fine. But just one chance. You got that?"

Joffrey nodded, seemingly glad that he had gotten somewhere. Honestly, I thought to myself, this guy's never going to be able to stand me.
