Harley's POV
"Hey, Harley." Billie speaks softly as she walks over to me.
Wow, she isn't being cocky for once in her life.
"What is it Billie," I sigh, "I'm really not in the mood." Billie nods, her beautiful blue eyes trailing to her hands as she shuffles them nervously. "I just wanted to say sorry. For everything. It's been hard not talking to you." I take a deep breath, exhaling slowly. Do I really still have feelings for her?
Of course I do. Is that even a question? It takes everything in me to not just reach out to her and cry in her arms and just want to be held by her. No. I don't know if she felt the pain that I felt after the incident, but she obviously doesn't know how I felt it.
Honestly, nothing was ever her fault in the first place. I was the one who pushed her away over being- what, scared of betrayal?
I had cried like crazy over her. I was just starting to move on, and she came in at the perfect time. Half of me is happy to see her, but the other half is afraid to be hurt again. By my actions and hers.
"Billie..."
"I get it. We both screwed up bad. But everyone deserves second chances, even us." Billie scrunches her face as if she was thinking to herself, "enough of this cheesy shit," as she would say. Should I give her another chance? Well, both of us. A fresh start?
"But the party-" Billie cut me off by pressing a finger to my lips, looking at me in the eyes. "Let's not talk about the party, Har. Can we please just be ok again? Start over? Be friends again?" Her eyes hold desperation as she looks into mine, and I find it hard to resist. "Fine, Billie." I sigh, patting the open seat on the bench to invite her to sit. She sits down.
"How have things been?" I shake my head. Too much stuff has happened. With Paisley, and just everything else. "Not too good." I reply honestly. I yearn for her to just hug me tight like she used to, but she just sits there with a nod. After a long silence, she looks back to me. "I'm always here for you, you know that right?" She speaks with sincerity, and I can tell by the look in her eye.
What does this girl do to me.
"Ditto." I feel a smile begin to form on my face.
6 hours later
After talking for a while, Billie and I had gone back to my house to watch a movie or two. We still aren't that close again yet, but it's a start. I've missed her so much. Currently, I'm sitting Indian style on my bed while Billie is live on Instagram beside me.
She looks at the screen consistently, answering random questions that pop up. Her eyes widen at one. "Do I have a significant other? Nah, i'm not into that love shit." I wince slightly. Get over your feelings, Harley. Things would never work out with her. Just be glad you're friends again.
"Who is that beside you? Oh, it's just a friend." Billie directs the camera to me and I flash a slight smile before going back to reading Instagram comments on my page, which have blown up overnight somehow. "Ok guys, this was great and all, but I gotta go now. Love you all." Billie blows a kiss at the camera and ends the live.
"Damn, I love them." She shakes her head with a smile on her face. That's one thing I've always admired about her, how much she loves her fans that is. It's not too common now. "You're a great role model, so I don't doubt that they love you too." I reply in a friendly manner, but not looking up from my phone.
I hear Billie sigh and put her phone on the nightstand, turning on the TV again. "Billie, we've already watched 3 movies." I laugh, and Billie rolls her eyes. "What else do you want to do then?" She asks quickly, looking over to me. I shrug. "Card games?" Billie makes a disgusted face and sticks her tongue out. "Who are you, some grandma? No way." She huffed, trust falling back onto the bed.
She looks so good without makeup it's scary. Her newly-dyed black hair that she got done before we came here is so messy yet it's still perfect. I can't help but stare, but then look away. I can't let her think i'm a freak. We've already been through enough.
"Let's go outside." She decides quickly, getting up from the bed to go to the balcony and slide the glass door open. I follow, but shiver as the night chill hits my body. There's only one chair out there, so Billie offers it to me and stands by the railing, looking out on the city lights. My house overlooks the city with a small forest beyond so I have an amazing view of LA.
"Billie, you can sit here, you know." I smile, directing to my lap. Why would I do that? Why did I just do that? How crazy am I?
Instead, Billie responds with a smirk, stifling a yawn before giving up the cocky act and coming over to sit on my lap facing me. She lays her head just below my shoulder, wrapping her arms around me in a comforting manner.
A/N: billie as a bottom makes me softWe sit there in comfortable silence with me playing with her hair and eventually, we both fall asleep.
That was the most peaceful sleep I've had in weeks.
A/N
