The only thing I knew was I was lying down on a cold stone table. A man holding a dagger and a piece of metal stood above me. He raised the blade, and I panicked. But he lowered the blade into my heart. Everything went black.
I woke up in a cell. As I got up, I realized this wasn't an ordinary prison. I walked toward the door. A blue man in rags said, "Easy, now. You've been through an ordeal. Take a few moments to collect yourself."
"What's happening?" I asked. The man sighed. "Who are you?" I asked. He sighed again. "I am a prisoner in this place," He said.
"Yet so much more. I am the past and the future, both. I am despair and hope."
"What do you want with me?" I aked. "You must rescue me, and I, in turn, must rescue you. The tapestry we weave is a complex one. You can not hope to see it in its entirety. Not yet. You must take up arms, and find Lyris Titanborn."
"Lyris Titanborn?" I asked. "Who is that? I don't understand!" Then he disappeared. An Argonian man unlocked my cell, and I walked out.
I ran to find a weapon. I found racks of weapons. I took a bow, some arrows, a sword and a shield. Then I readied an arrow on my bow and bolted. I opened a door. A skeletal warrior lunged at me.
I fired an arrow at it's head, and he fell over. I took his gold and ran. I walked through another door. A skeletal archer fired at me. He missed, abd one of my arrows pierced his skull. I took his arrows and gold.
A tall woman with a sword and a scar waited for me. "Hey," She said. "The name's Lyris."
