You are a person in your middle years as a teenager. One morning you find a note on your nightstand. It has a blank plastic card on it. The type only says "One week left. Do as you please. No limitations. Enjoy."

You don't know this, but Tuesday September Twenty-Seventh; a week from now; you will be hit by an intoxicated driver on your way home from school and die. The blank plastic card will be anything you need it to be in order to achieve your dying wishes.

You think little about the card; not understanding at first. Leaving the week to happen as it does. Don't be concerned. It is what most people do after all.

On Tuesday September Twenty-Seventh you cross the corner of a busy street when someone barrels through the red light and into you. As you fall and get crushed by the large vehicle, you wake up.

Next to you on your nightstand is the note. You look at it again, and all is the same. All is the same, but the bottom right corner. In it it a small number one.  You look at your phone. It's September 20th.

        627. 627 times, as listed by the right corner of the slip of paper in small neat numbers.  627 weeks have passed. You've noticed that things you collect stay with you, even after time resets. Space in your room also seems to grow to accommodate your souvenirs. Pictures of you and the wonderful people you've met, journals and notes you've taken.

You've also taken the time to try and see the licens plate of the car that hits you. You've gotten to know the person a couple of times. You feel sad for them, but since time always resets anyway, the original time loop yours is resetting from is unchanged no matter what you do. Your own reset every time you die, and so do the people.

You've taken many different paths with these people; seeing where what decisions take you. That's why you've been taking notes. At least one person will notice and ask why, but you can't tell them. They'd reset and forget everything anyway, but you just can't.  Perhaps in a few more years worth or weeks, but not now.

You often wonder if you'll ever get tired of this. Over and over again, and what will happen when you do. Don't worry child. I have so many plans for everyone. We have eternity if you want it, after all.
