"Nyeli" my mother calls my name as i take out a headphone out of my ear "mom im right here!" "it doesnt seem like that with your earphones in your ear" "sorry haha whats up" "umm honey, time for school come-on" "ugh okay" i stand up& walk to my little sister grace, i get to school "bye mom i love you" my mother smiles at me "i love you more princess" as she kisses my forehead i get out of the car & wave goodbye at my little sister, i love seeing my mom smile & i love my mom she gave me life..i dont know what i would do without her. I walk into first period & wait till the teacher comes in "hey Nyeli" "hey" "how are you!" "good, rather be home but w.e" "doesnt everyone?" i start to laugh, after class i go to walk to my next class "watch were you going bitch!" "your such a bully avery." "i am what i wanna be now move" avery pushes me into a locker & i just shrug it off "shes not worth it" i say to myself after school i walked home i go threw the door & i see my beautiful mothers face "hey babygirl how was school?" "it was whatever haha, how was your day?" "good your father called" my mother says as she rolls her eyes i start to giggle "what did he want now?" "same thing as always money, but i didnt give him crap!" i smile "good he doesnt deserve it stupid drunk" "hey! dont say that Nyeli hes your father" " no hes not, he didnt raise me you did your my father & my mother..he chooses achohol over his FAMILY, hes just my sperm doner" my mom gives me the mom look "soooo what should you make for diner" i say to my mother looking down "chicken alfredo" "yummm" i go on my phone & check my messages "ooo keisha texted me" *hey girl wanna hang out?* i text back *yeah when?* she texts back a couple minutes later *tommorow after school* i reply *sure :)* when mom was done cooking i was the one that ate most of it grace only ate a little bit and my mom ate a good amount but threw up right after. i go to her after im done eating "mom you okay?" "yes babygirl im fine, just got the stomatch flu thats all nothing serious. hey do me a favor Nyeli?" "yeah anything mom" "give grace a bath and put her to bed please imma just go to sleep im not really feeling good" "yes of course" i say as i hold my moms hand & hug her. i go upstairs & look for my little sister "GRACE!!!, ugh were is this little brat GRACE! bathtime" i keep looking & soon find her in my moms room fast asleep, didnt wanna wake her so i just put some pj's on her. then i go to my room & get some clothes out take my towel & take a shower. while i was showering i was listing to my favorite song *obsession x babybash ft frankie j* singing along to it while i wash my hair. when i was done i grab the towel put it around my shoulders & run to my room & close the door as i dry myself off i hear my mom calling my name "wait a sec ma!" "alright" i quickly put on my clothes & ask "yes?" "did you give grace a bath hun?" "oo i forgot to tell you she was asleep when i found her" "my poor baby was tired thank you anyway Nyeli now go to sleep tomorrow is the last day of school till spring vacation!" my mom said smiling "yay haha goodnight mom i love you" "i love you more babygirl" she kisses my cheek & i go to my room & lay in my bed i pray and then shut off my lights and go to sleep
*the next morning*
"wake up Nyeli" my little sister says as she jumps up & down on my bed, i slowly get up& hug her. after that i get up & get ready *its gonna be hot out lemme put some shorts on* i thought to myself so i did & i went downstairs & brushed my teeth after that i did my hair going downstairs i walked pass my mothers room she was sleeping to me it was weird because she would be up by now i walk in & tap her on the shoulder "mom?" "hmm?" "you want me to put anna on the bus?" "yes please, thank you my love i appreciate it have a good day at school" i kissed my moms forehead & closed the door as i left her room i grabbed my sisters backpack & put her homework & her snack in it & got her ready & put her on her bus & then went to school through out the whole school day i was worried about my mom how was she? is she okay? i didnt know what to think, i didnt talk to anyone the whole day mostly because my bestfriend went to a different school & i dont like to talk..to much effort. when i got home as i opened the door i was hoping that my mom would be on the couch watching her favorite show (being human) but when i opened the door she wasnt even home i got scared & looked all around the house for her when i was done looking for her & she wasnt to be found i quickly ran to the phone & dialed the first number that popped up in my head 911 "hello 911 whats your emergency?" "hi my name is Nyeli windell & i wanna know if you guys have my mother deadrea freeman?" "ooh im sorry honey your gonna have to go to the hospital to find that out" i started getting mad & just hung up. i wanted to go right away to the hospital but i couldnt i had to wait for grace so i did, & got a bag ready filled with snacks & some juice pouches when i was done i grabbed the house keys & walked out as i was locking the door i saw graces bus i walk to it & got her off "bye" i say to the driver & i held her hand then we walked to the hospital took me about 20 minutes but once i got there i went straight to the front desk & asked for my mother & told them that me & grace were her kids "ooh honey, your her daughters okay so go sit down and ill get the doctor" i go & sit with grace and wait paitently for the doctor i start to shake my leg & i saw the doctor and i felt my heart thumping faster "Nyeli?" "yes yes hows my mother?" "Nyeli your mother...is in a comma she has a very rare illness & needs to stay here till she wakes up & you can stay too but later on DCF is coming to meet with you & your little sister to see where you guys will be going till your mother wakes up & gets better" i can feel the tears forming but i dont want to scare grace so i hold it back "okay..well can i see her?" "yess this way" i walk with him as i hold grace, im shaking as i walk but we hit her room and i stand in the doorway and then i walk in i see her. Grace wanted to hug her but i said no and she started crying "I want too" "i know i know I do too" "I'll give you a minute" the doctor walks out i place grace on the bed with my mother & fall to the floor & cry i couldnt hold it in anymore as i was crying i walked to her body & held her hand "mommyyy i love you soo much" I lay & cry myself to sleep
