I'll Help You | Colby Brock

Chapter 2

For next couple weeks, I hadn't seen Colby at all. But that didn't stop me from wondering. I managed to find a job working at a Hot Topic to help pay for my University.

Today I woke up early so that I could walk to work. After I started walking, I saw this girl with beautiful blue hair and a boy with blonde hair approach me,
"Excuse me, could I ask you a question?" The girl said sweetly.
"Of course" I smiled.
"What colour does my boyfriends shirt look Like to you?" She asked pointing at the boy.
"Gray?" I said.
"Now tell her what colour YOU think it is" she said turning to the boy.
"Dark white..." he whispered.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Im Katrina by the way" she said holding her hand out.
"I'm Alisha" I said taking her hand.
"And this is my boyfriend Sam" she said looking at Sam.
"Nice to meet you guys" I smiled.
"You too" Sam smiled.
"Well I have to go to work so I'll see you around?" I said.
"Only if you give me your Instagram" she said in all seriousness.
"Ok it's imalishaparker" I said laughing a bit.
"Thank you I'll follow and dm you later" she smiled.
And with that I left. She seems sweet. When I got to work, I started stacking boxes and nothing special really happened.

After work, I headed back to my apartment and just layed in bed. That's when I heard my phone go off.

K: second, we should hangout sometime?
Y: um ya of course
K: well then I'll text you my address and you can come over tomorrow around 4:00 p.m?
Y: ofc I'll be there!

She seemed like a sweet girl. And I actually wanted to try and be friends with her. I'm tired of being alone. I'm gonna try not to ruin this.

Gracie walked in and just waved. So I waved back.
"I'm going out tonight" she said.
"Ok" I responded.

Gracie and I aren't getting along the greatest right now. We kept getting into stupid arguments and so we decided to just stop trying to get along.

After she left, I decided to just watch Stranger Things for the hundredth time on Netflix. I eventually fell asleep around 2:00 a.m.

I woke up the next day around 11:00 a.m.
I had a shower then had a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I got dressed into black ripped skinny jeans and a black crop top. I decided to just chill for a few hours since I didn't need to leave anytime soon. When it was finally time to leave, I told Gracie I was going out and she just said ok. So I got an Uber and went to Katrina's apartment. When I got there I went up to her apartment and knocked on the door.

"Heyyy" She said pulling me in.
"Hi" I said laughing.
"I was thinking we go shopping then maybe head to my boyfriends place and then come back and have a sleepover?" She said excited.
"Sounds great but I didn't bring any other clothes" I said smiling.
"That's fine you can just borrow mine" she smiled.
"Yay" I laughed.

We got an Uber and went to the mall and shopped around. We had a lot of fun just messing around in stores. After a few hours we decided to go to her boyfriends Sam's house. He was an interesting person.

When we got to the house, it seemed familiar, it took me a few minutes to realize it was where I met that boy. What was his name again? Cole? Toby? Kyle? What was is? When we walked inside, I heard screaming and immediately got worried. What was going on? That's when Kat noticed
"This is normal no ones dying" she laughed.
"Oh ok" I laughed with her.
"Guys I'm here and I brought a friend" she said walking into the kitchen.
"I hope she's hot" I heard an unfamiliar voice say.
"Jake shut up" I heard another voice say.
"Alishacome in" Kat called me in.
I walked in and that's when I saw the boy.
"This is Jake, Aaron, Corey, Colby, my favourite Devyn, and well you've met Sam" she said pointing to each.
"Hey it's not nice to point" the one named Jake said.
"Well too bad" Kat laughed.

Colby, that was his name. I just stared at him for a few seconds until he noticed.

Colby's POV
We were all just hanging out when Kat walked in with a friend.
"Guys I'm here and I brought a friend" Kat said.
"I hope she's hot" Jake said.
"Shut up" Sam said pinching him.
That's when she walked in. It was her. The girl from the party a few weeks ago. Alisha huh? Gosh she was beautiful. I remember everyone kept talking but I just ignored them. That's when I caught her staring at me. I just smiled.

"I've met you before" I smiled.
"Yeah you have" she chuckled a bit.
"You guys have met?" Kat asked.
"Yeah at a party a few weeks ago" I said.
"Oh" Kat said.

Y/n's POV
I was starting to get overwhelmed with the amount of people here, and they all kept asking me questions. I just couldn't take it anymore.
"If you'll excuse me, I've gotta go to the bathroom" I said. And with that I walked to the bathroom and shut the door. I knew Colby noticed something wasn't right, so he followed. I started crying and having a panic attack. Gosh why am I like this? I heard someone knock on the door.
"Hey, you ok?" It was Colby.
I didn't answer. That's when he slowly opened the door and came in. He stopped as soon as he saw me crying. I tried to hide my face before he saw, but was unsuccessful. He quickly came and engulfed me in a hug. We stayed there for about 5 minutes until I calmed down.
"You wanna tell me what's wrong?" He asked.
"I-I-it was too much. All the people. The questions. I got overwhelmed" I managed to get out.
"Why Don't we go take a walk and get fresh air?" He asked.
"Ok.." I said.

We walked back to everyone and I just hid behind Colby, not wanting them to see I was crying.
"We're gonna go take a walk" he said.
"Ok but don't take too long, when you get back her and I are leaving" Kat said.
"Got it" Colby said as we walked out.

We spent a few minutes just walking in silence.
"Hey Alisha?" Colby asked.
"Yeah?" I responded.
"Are you gonna be ok when you and Kat leave?" He asked with concern in his voice.
"I'll be ok" I smiled a bit.
"Ok but I'll give you my number in case you need anything, ok?" He said.
"Ok. But why are you being so nice to me? Most people just stop talking to me and give up trying to be my friend" I said looking down.
"Because I'm a nice person Alisha. And I wanna help you" he said.
"Ok..." I smiled.
"But I think you should tell Kat about what wrong. She's a nice genuine person and she'll understand. She won't make fun of you, she'll be as nice as I am" he smiled.
"I'll think about it" I said.
"Ok but I hope you do tell her" he smiled.
And with that, we were back at the house.

"Yay your back, I'm gonna go grab something and then we'll leave?" She asked.
"Yeah sure" I answered.
"Here Tayla, take my number in case you need anything" Colby smiled.
"Thanks" I said.
"Ok let's go!" Kat exclaimed. And with that, we left.
