(Chapter One)
*1 New Message*
I pick up my iPhone and unlock it to see who the message was from. It was from my bestfriend Haley.
Get on skype! Now!
I reply back. Okay, give me like 5 minutes, I need to grab my laptop charger. I hit the send button and wonder what's so important.
Running to the living room, I glance out the window and my eyes focus over to the driveway, no one home. Looking behind the couch for the charger, pulling it out of the outlet and running back to my room. I check my phone to see if Haley replied back, and lucky enough, I see, *1 New Message* on my lock screen.
The message reads, HURRY UP!!!
I think to myself, "jeez, pushy much?" while typing another message.
Okay! Okay! I got the charger, call me on skype.
Hitting the send button, I plug the charger into the wall then the other part into the computer. I log into Skype and soon enough, I get an incoming video call from Haley. Clicking the "answer with video" and Haley pops up on the screen, holding Frank Ocean tickets. A big smile spread across my face. "Oh my gosh! You got them!" while smiling like a complete retard. "I know! And guess what the best thing about it is?" Haley asked. Thinking to myself what could get any better than the new Frank Ocean tickets? "You and me are going together, for your Christmas present!"
Sitting in shock, I look at her and say, "You're joking!" Watching her nod her head, telling me the story on how much trouble she had to go through to get them, she continued and changed the subject and said, "I met a guy named Phillip on Facebook today and he wants to join the call, should I do it?" Not even thinking about my answer, I go ahead and say yes and we turn off our video and wait for him to answer.
