Ugh, joining a school where you know no one, is the worst. I've never been the girl to go out and make new friends, I've always been the girl who sits in the back of the classroom, twiddling my hair, and biting my nails. I'm not interested in talking to people, I never have the same interests, I'm a girly girl, as some may say, because I always need a big bow in my hair, I like wearing skirts and dresses. My favourite type of music is pop bands. I've always wanted to be in a band, I love singing and it's my dream to know whether I'm good enough. I'm getting a bit carried away now, but I'd best tell you who I am.
I'm Camilla, I'm 17, and I've just come over from America with my mum and dad. We moved because I used to get death threats, and emotionally and physically hurt. My parents thought it would then be best if we moved, so they expect me to make even more friends...
Suddenly, someone talking snapped me out of my thoughts;
"Cami, you ready?" It was my mum, asking if I was ready for school, well the answer was no, I was not ready.
"Yeah, sure" I replied lying
I grabbed my backpack and my phone, and headed over to the door with my mum.
"You'll be fine today, just try and be more sociable and make some new friends" my mum said smiling
"I'll try, I promise" I smiled back
Maybe I should actually try and make some new friends, it might help with my anxiety and confidence. It was only a short 10 minutes before I had to leave my mum for 6 hours. I'd always been a mummy's girl, since I was little.
"Cami, you'll be fine, just go and have fun!" She shouted
"See you later, love you" I said as I whispered the last two words
I shut the car door, and walked into the reception part of the school.
"Hi, miss, I'm Camilla Cabello, where do I go?"
She smiled at me softly, "hello sweet, the principal said he would come down and talk to you about your timetable anytime soon"
I nodded and smiled at her before I took a seat on the little blue comfy chair. It was about 5 minutes after when I saw a fresh looking man dressed up in a suit come down the stairs.
"Hiya, you must be Camilla" he said smiling at me, holding out his hand for me to shake
"Hi sir, nice to meet you! I was told you wanted to talk to me?"
"Well yes of coursr, you want to know your lessons don't you?" He sarcastically asked
I laughed slightly, "of course"
He explained everything and my first lesson was history. I was told where to go, and where I go after this lesson.
I finally came to room 206 and knocked twice before a young woman came to the door, smiling a flashy smile.
"Hello poppet, you must be Camilla"
"That's me" I laughed slightly "so where do I sit?"
"There's a spare seat there" she said pointing to a chair between a small blonde girl and a tall boy with a quiff.
I walked over quietly and felt embarrassed and shy. Before I could say anything, this girl from beside me suddenly said,
"Hi, I'm Rachel!"
