Lights out

"I'll help with the dishes!" I say
"Wow, Ashley are you sure your ok? You never help with anything," said Ms.Taylor, the lead supervisor and through that the most annoying one.
"Yes, I'm sure Ms.Taylor," I say rather sarcastically.
"Ok then" she replied, getting the supplies out. Then we start cleaning in the very run down kitchen. There were 3 very rusty sinks and 2 stoves and the rest of the space was filled with cabinets of all shapes and colors. 3 of the volunteers went and started washing dishes, 2 cleaned the stoves and the rest of us put the ingredients that were left from cooking back in the cabinets, which left me plenty of room to get some food for my trip. About 30 minutes later, yes 30 minutes, we finally finished and I had so much food I'm surprised no one noticed. Now all I had to do was wait till tonight. I looked at the clock, only 2 more hours to go. Then I realized that Ms.Taylor calls on people who linger after dinner to help her with paperwork, so I left as quickly as possible. Well, now I have to just wait around for 2 hours, I don't know what I'll do though. Guess I can lay on my bed and think about what might or might not happen. Sounds good I guess.

------—-----------------------------------------------

"Lights out!" I hear Ms.Tyler scream from downstairs. Finally, it's time. I turn the lights off in my room and pretend to be asleep.

After about 15 minutes I heard the supervisors go to bed so I slowly got out of bed and made a little bit of noise to make sure no one was awake. No one good, I grab my stuff and head out the door slowly, making sure not to alert anyone who might still be awake. I finally reached the door and opened it slowly, going outside.
