Three little words.

Their meaning so special.

The effect they can have...

"I trust you," she half whispered half laughed fighting away the tears that were making her voice slightly tremble.

He looked at her, the girl, that girl, walking to his left. Right besides him. She tried to avoid at him, avoid looking him straight in the eyes.
No it's alright, it's just some stupid little thing, she had said only seconds earlier. The Sun was still shining, its soft warm beams bathing the small world in an orange evening light. A couple of lovebirds were dancing in the air, chasing each other around, making the orange sky their stage.
Once upon a time she had wanted to be a bird.

Somewhere in the distance they could hear the sounds of a few passing cars.

Red, white, grey, black. Probably.
No, it's not alright, he had thought to himself. Walking. Silence. And his unspoken words and worried silence had convinced her otherwise.

"I trust you."
I-trust-you.

A small breeze blew softly, playing with her messy hair that matched the orange coloured sky.

Unhesitatingly he put his left arm around her as they kept walking down the empty street together. A few more seconds of silence. The wind blowing ever so slightly. A silence that made him happy in a strange way.
I trust you.

Someone once said: That I trust you means more than if I said 'I love you'

Those words kept singing in his head.
She trusts me.

She had given him her fragile heart beating within her small body, without even knowing. Even if she knew, she would never admit to placing her heart, her very existence, within the hands of another human being. Some guy she had just met not long ago. Some special guy, someone she trusted. After so little time.

"It's just some stupid family thing," she said with a careless voice. She was still looking away from him as she spoke. She was too proud to cry in front of him. That's what she thought at least.

"Well, it's just my father..." her eyes tearing up and her voice trembling as she spoke. She cried.
She was too proud to cry in front of him.

He stopped and tugged her close in to him in an embrace. He held her face and wiped away the tears that tumbled down her puffy cheeks.

A faint smile formed upon her lips as her red teary eyes stared into his. His deep eyes with the colour which she would never learn to decide. Somehow the scenario reminded her of those sad, romantic scenes in the famous romance movies she had never seen, but only imagined she had heard someone talk about.

They kept walking down the small path under the large trees, the last beams of sunlight passing between the green leaves. His one arm was still wrapped around her tiny body, her head softly leaning against his chest. It was as if time stood still yet flew right past their unseeing eyes. They were the only people in the world, yet everyone's gaze was fixed upon them as the Sun was slowly sinking in the horizon.

"Sometimes I think back to the day you were crying
When you said 'I trust you'
And how happy I felt after those three words.
I will never forget that day, it means so much to me"
