I felt the anger build up inside me. My pupils dilating. My veins rose to the top of my skin. Stop. I tell my self. Breath. Calm down. I close my eyes and count rapidly to 5. The school bell rings, and before another word can be spoken from that bastards mouth, I grab my bag and swing it over my head. "Haha slag!"
"Fuck off Kyle" I reply sharply as I walk out the class room door, before sir dismisses the class. Everyone's eyes feel as if they're on me. The corridors seem to get longer every time I walk them, however this time I flew through them and barge past a bunch of year 9s.
My pacing slows to a walking speed as I reach the woods. The place where I can be me. I can't turn. I have to replay in my head. 16:04 and it's still broad daylight. The wind is breezy and I can hear the trees sway and the leaves rustle through wind. It smells damp and the ground feels mushy. I trudge my way through the sloppiest part of the mud and reach to my house.
I can smell a new scent before I even get to the door. I gingerly make my way into the kitchen and drop my bags on the way. And there he was. Blonde hair green eyes, and a pale skin tone, slightly taller than me. He was wearing a thick green coat and grey round-neck shirt. His black jeans reach to the top of his black Nike blazers. He smiles awkwardly, I turn my head to look at mum but my eyes stay glued to this curious boy. "This is Jeremy" my mum says edging closer to him. my dad appears from the other side of him and places his hand on his shoulder which seems to make him jitter.
"He's not on of us" I say sternly while clenching my fist and lowering my chin into my neck.
"Lauren!" Shouts my dad "he's a wolf just like you"
"I'm tame like you Lauren" his innocent voice kind of makes me feel bad now. My fists relaxed and my head rose again. The stubbornness in my head stays the same.
"Stay away from my room. Don't annoy me. And yeah" I swish my hair and stomp up stairs before he can reply. My wolf hearing senses my mums speech.
"Don't worry she'll come round Jeremy" her sympathy voice leaks through her positiveness.
*ding*
My phone notify's me. It's text from my bestfriend Laura. "Coming out tonight? Meet at the cafe in 10? X"
She's my bestfriend and everything, she's always been their for me and listens to me. But I just can't tell her. The only thing I've never told her. I hesitate replying back to her. I can't go out tonight. It's a full moon.
*ding*
"Well?!? come on it'll be Fun x" I can feel her excitement through her text. And I'm running out of excuses.
"Sorry I can't tonight mums ill xx" I sigh, and my text flys into the blue box on the right. She reads it and doesn't reply. I'm gonna end up with no friends at this rate...
