"Bailey get your ass out here!"

I roll my eyes walking to the fence that separates mine and the Golds' homes.

"What do you want Noah?" I yell back crossing my arms.

He watches me intensely mimicking my actions crossing his arms over his chest and walking closer.

"My mom wanted to invite y'all over for dinner." He speaks with a smirk on his face as the wind blows his blonde hair just above his green eyes. Damn he needs a haircut, but it's kinda cute all shaggy like that.

"Okay yeah we'll be over soon" I answer turning around walking into my back door.

"Oh and hey Bailey!" He shouted. I turn my head over to his face once again, waiting for what's coming out of those pink lips next.

"Chrissy is coming over too, just a heads up" His deep voice informs.

I nod my head seeing him turn to leave inside his house. Fuck I hate Chrissy, her and Ethan have been together for almost two years. Noah was my best friend until he started dating that bitch.

Freshman year was when they started getting close and he seemed to forget he had me, but before that we did everything together. Now It's like we're just friendly acquaintances who cross paths every little bit.

The Noah I knew isn't here anymore, I mean he isn't a dick but he sure as hell ain't what he used to be.

I finally come back from spacing out.

Walking across my living room I see my mom dancing to some jazz music and humming her away not having a care in the world.

I start spinning towards her taking her hands in mine. My beautiful mom looks into my eyes moving her body in perfect timing with the music, I follow her steps as I have my entire life.

"Noah said Roxanne and Mike want us over for dinner." I say softly. She nods her head, still swaying her hips.

"I guess we should head on over soon, let me just grab a sweater and touch up on my makeup."

"Okay I'll wait for you." Letting go of her arms I take some dog treats off the counter. We don't own a dog, which seems kinda funny, but Noah got this beautiful golden retriever his thirteenth birthday.

Ever since then momma insists we keep treats in our house for whenever we see Maxwell running around.

My mom comes out in nice jeans and a blue sweater that brings out her eyes.

She may be thirty-five but she is so damn beautiful.

I'd like to think I look like her. She has deep blue eyes like the ocean, with grey speckles in her left iris. While I have those in my right. She has long silky dirty blonde hair, mine is quite lighter though from being in the sun all the time. I have her long curvaceous figure, with my Dads button nose and freckles.

"Should we get on going?" My mom turns to meet my eyes until they travel up and down my body. "Oh baby go put some clothes on it's getting cold out."

I roll my eyes looking down at my black jean shorts and tank top. I guess she's right, It's windy and the Golds like to eat outside and watch the sunset every night.

I get a sweatshirt and put the doggy treats in a bag for Max.

Hey y'all! This is my first book so please don't judge. I can't promise it will get better, but I'll fucking try. I noticed in this chapter I haven't really given anyone a personality; but I'm planning on y'all really knowing more about the characters quirks and such next chapter.
