Chapter twenty eight

Alex's pov

I felt so stupid letting Shawn back into my life. But I miss him. I know I'm soon going to regret this.

"Ready?" Shawn asks as the bell rung for lunch and I nod and get up. We start walking to the cafeteria and he wraps his arm around and me and I feel people look at us.

I grab his arm and take it off of me and he looks at me confused.

"Are you okay? I thought you said we were good?" He said

"We are.. but.." I said and he rolled his eyes

"You feel weird and feel everyone staring at you?" He said and I nod.

"I'm sorry." I said and he nods

"It's fine. I understand." He smiled softly, I felt bad for him but I'm not ready to be public again.

We head to the cafeteria and I see brie and I grab her hand and I lead her to the bathroom.

"Woah are we boutta have a quickie in the bathroom?" She jokes as we enter and girls look at us. I give her look.

"I was just joking!" She yells then laughs.

"I might've done the most stupid shit ever." I said pacing back and forth.

"What'd you do? Did you smoke?" She said sniffing me like a K-9. I'm getting flashbacks from New York.

"What? No. But after this I may need to." I said

"What did you do?" She asked

"I forgave Shawn and I kissed him and I think we're back together? I don't know I'm confused." I said

"Okay stop pacing you're making me dizzy. Don't you love him?" She asked

"I don't know." I said

"No, a yes or no." She said and I shrugged

"Do you love him yes or no!" She yelled

"No!" I shouted back and we both gasped.

"Yes! I mean yes!" I said

"You don't love him?" She asked softly and I shrugged.

"It's okay if you don't." She said rubbing my arm.

"I told him I do." I said tearing up.

"I always felt like I did.." I said

"Maybe you don't love him right now because of what he did.." she said

"Yeah, Yeah. That has to be it." I said nodding and she nods too.

"Don't feel bad about it. It'll take time for you to fall back in love. May not be today, may not be tomorrow, may not be this week. But you'll be there." She said and I nodded

"Thanks." I said

"Let's go eat. I'm hungry." She said grabbing my hand and we walked back and got our food and sat with Shawn and Matt and Brian seemed surprised.
