"My Lord..I--I." Tauriel lowered her head as she heard Thranduil's voice.

"With me, now." The Elven King demanded and grabbed her by the arm.

Tauriel nodded and walked along the corridors, her eyes cast down to the floor the entire time. "Where are you taking me?" She asked, ignoring the pain his grasp caused on her wrist.

"That doesn't matter. What I need to know is why you were kissing my son." Thranduil said sternly. "You have some explaining to do Tauriel, and you better do it quickly."

Tauriel looked up to meet his eyes with her own emerald ones as he pushed her into his chambers and shut the door. "My Lord, it was just a mistake. I know I should not have been doing that." She said. "I'm so sorry.."

He glared at her as he poured himself a small glass of scotch. He downed the liquid in a swift movement.

"And..and I know you told me that I should not give him hope where there is none..and I'm so sorry for disobeying you." She said.

Thranduil raised an eyebrow. "Did you ever stop to think about why I said those words to you?" He asked.

She shook her head slowly.

"I didn't want you to give him hope because..well because I wanted that hope to be given to me. Tauriel I have always taken a liking to you. As more than a friend." He waited to see how she would react to his words.

Tauriel's eyes went wide and she took a step back. "You are my king! I am no princess or queen! I am merely a captain of the guard, or so I have been told by none other than yourself!" She yelled. "How dare you say these things after years of putting me down!"

Tauriel soon found there was no where to go. Thranduil was blocking her path to the door and she was backed up against a wall now. Thranduil moved forward and claimed her lips in a kiss like a bird catching it's prey. She resisted at first, tried to get him off her. But after a few moments she realised the kiss was rather nice. His lips were tender, soft, loving. Her hands gently rested on his upper arms before she pulled away.

"Well? Am I a better kisser than my son?" He asked with a smirk.

"Well he certainly is talented..but you, My King, were just that little bit better."
