LOVING AND FIGHTING

CHAPTER 7

I walk into the cafeteria, and people are looking at me when I don't even know who they are.i look at Layla with a confused look. "YO MADDIE!" I hear Noah say. I turn my head to see him and all of his friends telling me to come to sit with them. I shake my head knowing that Layla is looking at me. I go to sit with Layla like always. "yo you better not be a thing with Noah" she warns, and I get nervous.

As we are talking Noah comes up to us... well me and says," what did you not hear me calling you." I look at him and shake my head, "well let's go come sit with us." he says," no it's okay I'll just see you in homeroom I'm gonna stay with Layla." I say not trying to get myself in trouble. Layla has a concerned face on, she looks at me, while I'm on my phone, but I feel her eyes on me.

Finally, the first bell starts to ring. I take a little bit longer than I usually do, hoping Layla would just walk to her locker without me.

But she didn't. She stood right there waiting. We finally get out of the cafeteria, and Layla breaks the silence by asking "what are u doing after school" in a happy tone. "I don't think I'm doing anything today probs just homework, u wanna come over." I say as I close my locker with leg because of my books in my hand. "sure do u want me to take the bus with you." I nod my head as I walk inside my homeroom and say bye. I walk to my seat and Noah looks at me like I did something wrong, but then it changes to a smile when I walk past him into my spot. "hey" I say in a playful tone. "hi." he says with a tired face and looks at me. We didn't talk for the whole day, what was his problem? I didn't do anything wrong. The day is over, and Layla and I meet and wait for the bus, once we are walking home, I can't stop thinking about the pool, so I mention it to Layla, not about Noah and me there just saying that I found it. And I went back to go swimming.

"that sounds fun after homework u wanna go," she says. I agreed.
