Over the next week, the guys and I mastered our powers. Ryoma got really good at flying, and was now able to fly over the ocean and stream and was able to grab fish that were jumping out of the water. Kyo got really good at fighting and hunting with his claws, and was able to use his tail to grab things when he didn’t want to get up. And I got good at running and dodging obstacles. Plus, I realized that another ability I gained from the fruit was night vision, so that meant I was able to go hunting for a midnight snack when I was hungry.
The next morning, Kyo went hunting for breakfast and lunch. Ryoma and I were talking about music again, and he told me that he always did want to be a song writer, so the song he wrote for me was a start.
“It was good, but the lyrics could’ve been a little bit better. The music itself was really good though.”
“Okay, that’s good to know. Every tip and piece of advice helps.”
“Alright, well then, do you still have that guitar?”
“Yeah.”
“Then just keep at it until you have a number one hit.”
“Well, how will I know if I’ve written a number one hit?”
”Well, when you get back home, just start auditioning at recording studios, and don’t give up. If they say that one of your songs aren’t good, then give them a better one. Just keep trying until you get it.”
“Alright, then I’ll do it. When we’re rescued, I’m going to find an abandoned place, and then start with that.”
“Good, and when you become famous, I’ll be your number one fan.”
“I can’t wait.”
I gave him a cute smile, trying to give him even more confidence, and he hugged me, saying, “Thanks Sakura, you are truly amazing. I’m going to become famous, and then I’m going to write a number one hit just for you.”
“Well, I can’t wait until that day.”
We continued talking about music, and then Kyo finally came back with a big piece of metal and some eggs.
“What’s up with all this?”
“I thought that we could have some eggs and bacon.”
Kyo then pulled out a pig, or maybe it was a boar.
“Oh my god! That sounds really good right now! Where did you find the metal?”
“Well, it was actually one the beach. I guess it just washed up on shore, so I thought we could attach a stick to it and make it a pan. All we need is some plates and forks, and maybe a spatula.”
“Well, I’ll go get some sticks, and then I’ll make all the stuff.”
“Alright, I don’t think we’ll need a spatula for the eggs, so I’ll get started on those.”
“Okay, I’ll hurry with the plates.”
I went to get some wood for the plates and sticks for the other stuff, and then thought man, nothing interesting has happened for a while. I mean, the animal powers are awesome, but we’re so used to them, it doesn’t feel as special now. While I was looking for some sticks on the beach, I saw something really shiny in the sand. I ran over to light, and found a message in a bottle. I thought it would be better if I opened the bottle when I was with the guys, so I picked it up and shoved it in my pocket. I got the sticks, carved them, and then hurried back to the shelter, desperately wanting to open the bottle.
When I got back to the shelter, I showed the guys the bottle. Kyo and Ryoma seemed kind of surprised, but they wanted to see what the message said, so Kyo smashed the bottle open, since we didn’t really have a bottle opener. I opened the message, and was kind of scared of what I saw.
