Jasmine's POV
I ran to the bathroom to try to get the coffee off of my white blouse. I was already late from my encounter with...him. After five minutes of scrubbing, I realized that it wasn't coming out and it was 7:30 already.
"You know what, forget this. I'm already late." I said to myself in the mirror.
I quickly ran into the conference room where they were having the meeting. I stopped running because I realized that everyone was staring at me like I was crazy. I mean who could blame them. I'm always on time, but I was late today. I was running, which is not something you would never find me do at work in heels. And to make things worse, I had a huge coffee stain on my shirt."Sorry I'm late Mr. Timms." I said to my boss whose full name is Jacob B. Timms, the owner of Tech-O Gaming.
"It's alright Ms. Price, but don't let this happen again." He told me with a combination of disappointment and confusion on his face. "I'm not even going to ask about the stain on your shirt, so just start taking notes. We didn't get too far into this meeting." He added.
After Mr. Timms said that, I quickly took a seat, got out my notes, and tried to take the best notes ever. I already screwed up this morning by being late and running in looking like I just came out of cat fight. I didn't want to mess anything else up because I can't afford to loose this job.Jack's POV
After about 20 minutes of being lost, I finally made it to the room that father told me to go to. It was really hard getting there since this building is so huge and all the hallways look exactly the same. I opened the door slowly hoping that no one would notice me coming in since I was like an hour late. That unfortunately did not happen. As soon as I opened the door everyone looked at me except for one lady taking notes. I guessed that she was my dad's secretary.
"Hello son. I see you finally decided to come. I thought you weren't coming for a moment.'' My father told me with a relieved expression on his face.
"Of course I was coming." I said to try to put a small smile on his face.
At that moment, the secretary taking notes looked up at me as if she has heard my voice before. Then it hit me like a bullet. That was the bitch from earlier.Jasmine's POV
"Of course I was coming." I heard these words and thought to myself. After two seconds of thinking, I realized that the owner of the voice seemed familar. I looked up to see who it was and saw...him. It was the dude from earlier...and he's the SON OF MY BOSS!!:( I can't believe I poured coffee on my boss' son's car and flicked him off. That's why he looked so familiar because he looks exactly like Mr. Timms. But it's not my fault. He should've looked where he was going.
"Ok son. Now that your here, let's get to the real reason why I called this meeting." Mr. Timms said and I gave a very confused look.
"Ms. Price, you can discard all your notes because we will not be needing them anymore."
"But sir, these notes are..."
"I don't care about the damn notes, just do what I told you to do." He said as he interrupted me.
"Yes sir." I said with my head down. I could even hear his son giggling from the situation.Jack's POV
"Ok dad. What is this meeting about." I said as I was trying to refrain from laughing at what's her name...Ms. Pierce?
"Ok let's get to it then. Son have a seat next to me. As you all know, my 65th birthday is coming up next. I will be having a party and all my family, friends, and staff are invited, but that's not the reason I called you all to this meeting. I would like to tell you that after my birthday, I would be retiring and I would like my son, Jack Nicholas Timms, to take over my posistion as CEO." He said with the biggest grin on his face. I smiled with him, but on the inside, I was crying. I DID NOT WANT TO RUN THE BUISNESS!!! I don't like things like that. I just want to party and enjoy being 25, but I didn't want to let my dad down so I said, "Of course I'll run the buisness, dad. Anything for you."
"That's great news." He said. "For the next month, you would be trained by the most knowledgeable staff member. Let me introduce you to her. Ms. Jasmine Price stand."
Oh hell no!!! I thought to myself.
"Ms. Price meet Mr. Jack Timms." My father said as he introduced her to me. Jasmine Price...that's a pretty name."Hello." She said while looking at me with her beautiful brown eyes.
"Hi." I said.
"Jack, Ms. Price will be your "boss" for the next month so treat her with respect please." My father said.
"...fine..." I said with irritatation in my voice. "Since you told me your big anouncement, can I go now?"
"Yes, you may leave. But before you leave, Ms. Price, do you have anything to saw to your new mentee?" My father asked Jasmine.
"Yes, come to this same room tomorrow morning at 7 sharp for your first day of training and buy me a coffee on your way." Jasmine said.
"Like hell I'm doing that." I said back to her.
"Now Jack, you have to do what she says. I have to get to work now so I'm gonna leave you two to get to know each other." My father said as he was leaving the room. Along with him was all the other people that were there for the meeting except for her.
"Well like you father said, I'm your new "boss'' so you have to do as I say." Jasmine said as she walked pass me. Then she stopped by my side and whispered in my ear," So good luck because I'm gonna make your life a living hell, just to make up for almost running me over earlier this morning."
With those words ringing in my head, she left me in the the empty room. But before she walked out of the door, I said to her, "Nice shirt."
She gave me the death stare again which keeps getting cuter each time I see it and said, "Shut up."
Now I was alone. How was this chapter? Plz let me know. Thanks for reading. Until next time.
