Chapter 46

We went back to the shelter, still being cautious.

“Hey guys, I don’t think we can be left alone anymore, or at least right now. So we always need to be together, but there is a problem with that.”

“What’s the problem? I mean, it seems so simple to stay together, so how could there be a problem?”

“I mean… bathing. I’m a girl, and you two are guys, and I would prefer for you guys not to see me in the nude.”

“I wouldn’t mind.”

“Neither would I.”

I smacked both of them very hard, and this was the third time we had to go down to the stream to get cold water for Kyo’s face, and the first time for Ryoma. I was getting a lot better at slapping.

“You guys deserved it.”

“But, we can’t really leave you alone, considering that the orphanage is here, and probably coming to kill you.”

“Well… no touching, or else you’ll end up having amnesia or going into a coma or something.”

The guys said simultaneously, “Fine.”

“Okay then, I guess we can all bathe together, but if you guys look anywhere underwater, you’ll die.”

“Okay, we get it, the princess doesn’t want to be violated, and we get it. We won’t do anything bad to you.”

“Good, but let’s do it tomorrow, I’m feeling a little bit tired.”

“Yeah, me too.”

 We went back to the shelter after we took care of their faces, and stared at the mural. I was scared because of this orphanage thing. I mean, what orphanage chips their kids and locks them up if they run away?! That’s complete child abuse! Anyways, I fell asleep in between the guys, like every night, but they both were a lot closer to me than usual. I felt so warm, and kind of special, yet awkward.

During the middle of the night, I woke up, and smelt a cloth that was being pressed against my face. I was sure the cloth had chlorofoam on it because I was knocked out as soon as I took a whiff of the rag. When I woke up, I was in a weird cage. I couldn’t see anything outside of the cage, then I felt   something cold on my wrist. Shackles... great. I heard a voice say, “Ah, so the maiden has awakened.”

All of a sudden, a ton of torches were lit, and I saw a boy looking a little bit older than Kyo and Ryoma with a girl wearing one of those frilly maid costumes. When I tried to move my hands, I couldn’t lift them. Also, I couldn't move my legs, let alone stand up.

“My my, Kyo got lucky, finding a pretty little maiden such as yourself.” I will never understand this medieval talk.

“Who are you and what do you want with me?!”

“Oh, and you're a feisty one alright. My name is Riku. I’m the manager of the orphanage.”

“You?! But you’re so young?! How could you be the manager?!”

“Well you see, my father retired about two months ago, so he left the orphanage to me. I wanted to finally find out where Kyo ran off to, so here I am.”

“Why didn’t your daddy try to look for Kyo?”

“Well, he didn’t really care for him, but I wanted to get a little revenge.”

“Revenge? What do you mean?”

“Wow, you are an oblivious girl. You see, there was a girl named Rory.”

“Yes, I know about her already.”

“Alright then, I loved her, but when I tried to confess my love to her, she rejected it and told me that she liked someone else. I finally found out that the person she liked was Kyo. I thought that if I couldn’t have her, then neither of us could. I told my father to kill her for me, which he didn’t mind. So that is my reason for revenge.”

“Wait, so you’re doing all this just because of a girl? You monster! That is no excuse for taking an innocent girl’s life!”

“Well, you remind me of her,” He walked up to me, and stroked my chin to lift my face up, “very much. By the way, wait is your name?”

“The name’s Sakura, now if you could so kind as to let me go so I could go try to see if someone is coming to rescue me and the guys that would be great.”

“Oh no, I’m keeping you in this cage.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’m taking you back to the mainland, as bait for Kyo to come crawling back to me. He’ll have no choice but to do whatever I say unless he wants the girl he loves to die… again.”

“You monster, you wouldn’t do that.”

“Oh yes I would, and just to be clear, I can use you any way I want as long as you have the body control chip implanted in you.”

“Wait, body control chip?!”

“Oh yes, let’s just say that it allows me to control you like a giant doll, and you can’t resist it.”

“You bastard, let me out of here! Or else I will completely murder you with my claws when I escape!”

“Claws? What do you mean?”

I showed him my claws, tail, and ears.

“Oh my! I should sell you to the labs so they can experiment on you and then I’ll be rich!”

“Oh no you won’t! As soon as I get out of here, you are dead!”

In the distance, I hear Kyo and Ryoma screaming my name.

“Ah, so the bait worked, and look, it brought back another love struck puppy.”

When Kyo saw Riku, he seemed shocked. “Riku, you’re the manager now?”

“Yes I am. Now I have one condition to free your princess. All you have to do is come back with me to the orphanage and do whatever I say for the rest of your miserable life, or I can use this maiden in any way I want thanks to the body control chip I implanted in her.”

“You put one of those in her!? Damn it, you’re going to die right here, right now Riku.”

“Oh no I won’t. You wouldn’t fight your lovely princess now, would you?”

I got up, having absolutely no control of my body.

“Holy shit! Kyo, get out of here! And you too Ryoma! I’ll find my own way out of this; I just want you two to be safe.”

“No, we aren’t leaving you here like this!”

“Well then, Sakura, fight.”

I start doing all these cool karate moves like in the movies, but Ryoma was able to fly around, dodging my attacks. Riku could care less about Ryoma right now, so he made me attack Kyo. I was glad I kept missing, but I ended up hitting him, and he went flying across the cave and rammed straight into a wall.

“Kyo!”

“Ah, how sweet, the maiden still cares for the love struck peasant.”

“Shut up! Kyo, get out of here!”

“You know what Riku, you win. I’ll do whatever you say, just please free Sakura. If you don’t, then I’ll kill you for sure.”

“Alright then, but first, I get a kiss.”

“You are not kissing Sakura!”

“I didn’t really mean Sakura, but first, get on your knees.”

Kyo was on his knees, and I wanted him to stop, but then I realized something really bad. When Riku said that he didn’t mean he wanted to kiss me, I think he meant he wanted to kiss Kyo! Holy shit… this would be awkward.
