The chase continued, and I was getting tired. If it weren’t for my wolf abilities, they would’ve caught me a long time ago. I ended up at the beach, and the guys were closing in fast. I couldn’t really think of anything else because of the pressure, so I started to run along the shore, hoping that the guys wouldn’t be able to catch up.
I kept running and running, not stopping until I got trapped at a dead end, walls surrounding me that are so high that it would be impossible to jump unless you had wings like Ryoma. The guys finally caught up to me, out of breath and really angry. Kyo finally caught his breath and said, “Sakura, it’s time to choose! You can’t run, and you’ll starve if you wait. We can wait here all day and all night for you to choose.”
“Look, I’m sorry, but I can’t choose right now. You can’t force me to tell you who I like better.”
“Well then… looks like we’re going to be here for a while.”
Kyo left to go get him and Ryoma some dinner, but left me in the corner to starve. Kyo came back with some meat and started cooking it. There was a little breeze which blew the scent right towards me. The scent smelled so good, and then I said to the guys, “Come on guys. Do you really expect me to choose either of you if you let me starve?” The guys gave each other glances, and then Ryoma said, “Fine, you can have a little, but you still have to choose.” Ryoma threw a small chunk of meat to me.
I was pissed about the meat, but was happy I at least had something. “Thanks, you two are such gentlemen.” The guys and I went to bed, but I was pretty cold. Kyo ran back to the shelter to grab the blankets, and they left mine, letting me freeze. I used me tail and ears to keep me warm, but I was still pretty cold.
The next morning, I saw the guys. What sucks is that they woke up before me, so I couldn’t escape.
“Well, has the princess decided which prince she would make her king?”
“No, she hasn’t and she won’t. Also, what prince captures a princess and keeps her trapped?”
“Two princes who are really anxious to finally find out who the princess loves more. We really don’t want to have to do this, but we think it’s the only way to get you to decide.”
“Well, I don’t want to choose one of you, and then leave the other one alone for who knows how long.”
“Well, I’m prepared to take the risk, have you Ryoma?”
“Yeah, and besides, it’s not like it’s going to be forever.”
“Yeah, so just decide and we promise that we won’t feel hurt.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, totally. Just go ahead and tell us.”
“Well, give me a minute to think.”
I walked towards the wall, thinking that I couldn’t have both obviously, and it was hard to choose one. I thought that Ryoma is awesome, nice, cute, and really fun. And I thought of Kyo as a crazy, fun, sarcastic, cute, funny guy. I thought about it, and then I finally decided.
“Okay, I’ve made up my mind.”
“Alright princess, go ahead.”
I hesitated, so I sounded like, “I… I choose… uh…” I fell under pressure… literally. I fainted, hoping that one of the guys would catch me.
When I woke up, I was back at the shelter under my warm blanket. I saw Kyo and Ryoma, just leaning above me.
“Uh guys, I need a little bit of space.”
“Sorry, what happened to you back there?”
“Well, I might be a little sick from not getting very much food and being forced to sleep outside without a blanket,” I said sarcastically.
There was an awkward silence, and Ryoma said, “Well, what were you going to say back there?”
I froze, panicking because of the situation.
“Um, I choose…choose…”
“Don’t faint again.”
I just wanted to say it, so I screamed, “I CHOOSE KYO!!!!!”
