The Mysterious Island of Lost Treasures

Chapter 56

We finally made it to the top, and I saw Kyo and Ryoma fighting at full power. Their animal powers were out, and they both seemed to have fire in their eyes. I ran up and tried to stop them, but it wasn’t enough. Instead, they ended up throwing me backwards, Kyo scratching my arm by accident.

“Guys, what the hell is wrong with you?! Why are you fighting right now?!”

“Look princess, this is just a battle between us knights. You can go back to the castle and just relax.”

“NO!!! I’m not going to relax until you two idiots stop with all of this.”

They began fighting again, so I released my claws and scratched Kyo’s leg and Ryoma’s wing. I wanted them to stop, but injuring them wasn’t enough.

“Hey Rick,”

“Yes?”

“I think it’s time you used your bazooka.”

“Wait, but then the island will be destroyed!”

The phone vibrated out of nowhere.

“Okay, then give me a minute.”

I pulled out the phone and saw that Katherine emailed me saying, “We found you guys and are coming. I can even see the island from where the boat is now!”

I told Rick, “It’s fine to use it. My friend says she can see the island from where she is. Just launch it into the volcano.”

“Well… alright.”

Rick pulled out his giant bazooka and yelled, “Out of the way boys!!!!!” The guys looked at Rick and ran towards me. Rick launched the bazooka into the volcano. There was a giant explosion and then the island was becoming flooded with lava. As we were running, Kyo yelled at Rick saying, “Why did you do that you stupid coconut?!”

“It was my idea Kyo, and I told him to do that because my friend said that she was really close.”

“Well, if she doesn’t hurry up, Ryoma’s going to have to carry us over to the boat.”

“Wait, I’ll have to carry all of you?!”

“Don’t worry; it’s a short enough distance.... I think.”

We ran back to the shelter as fast as possible to grab some of the stuff we wanted to take home. I took the locket and took a quick picture of the mural. I couldn’t tell what Kyo and Ryoma grabbed because we were in such a hurry. We got everything we wanted and then headed for the beach. I saw Katherine and was happy that the lava was slow. By the time Katherine got to the shore, the lava wouldn’t be too close to us. We started waving to the boat and screamed, “HURRY UP ALREADY!!!!!!!”

Katherine emailed saying, “The boat broke. Eric can fix it, but it won’t be ready by the time the lava reaches the shore. You guys are going to need to find a way to get out here.”

“Crap, Ryoma, we need you to carry all of us to the boat.”

“What? Both of you plus the coconut?!”

“HEY!!! The name is Rick, you stupid teen.”

“C’mon Ryoma! We don’t have time for this! The lava is going to reach us if you don’t take us!”

“Ugh, fine.”

Ryoma carried all of us to the boat, but seemed to be struggling. About half way to the boat, Ryoma passed out.

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!”

I took Ryoma and Kyo grabbed Rick. It was tiring having to carry Ryoma to the boat, but I did it. We finally made it to the boat. By the time we reached the boat, the entire island was completely covered in lava. Also, the island was sinking. Ryoma was still passed out, so I wrapped him in a towel and put his head on my lap.

Eric fixed the boat and we headed back towards home. For a while, it was quiet, and then Eric handed Katherine a camera and started saying, “Steve Birdwin here, Valencia High School News! With the help of Katherine Hong, we found Sakura, who has been missing for over a year now! We are on a boat near the deserted island where she was lost. Sakura, tell us your story!”

“Well… I was on a cruise with my family and… some pirates killed my family right in front of me. Just a couple minutes ago, Katherine was asking me about my adventures on the island, stories about the guys and me and so on. Eventually, she asked me, ‘So did you ever name the island?’ Actually… we never did. Hey Kyo, what should we name the island?”

“Um, how about ‘The Mysterious Lost Island of Treasures’”

“Yeah, that sounds like a good name. And that’s my story.”

“So Sakura, who are these guys that you were with anyways?”

“Oh, the guys are Kyo and Ryoma. Ryoma is the one passed out from exhaustion and Kyo is the one sitting right here.”

“So, did you have any fun adventures on the island?”

“Um… I think there’s too much to tell at the moment. I can’t keep count now on how many adventures we had. Let’s just say that we had a lot of interesting times.”

“Alright, how about we have an interview sometime? You know, back at home.”

“Sure, and that’s it for this broadcast. See you next time on the Valencia High News.”

“By the way princess, why did you sink the island?”

“Well, I was afraid that some people might want money, so they would search for the island and take all the treasures it has. Plus, I thought it would be fun to go out big bang!”

“Well, it was fun to see all that." If you kind of looked at it, it seemed to look like a city of lava.

“Oh yeah, now I really wish I got a picture of that.”

“Oh well, too late now.”

Ryoma finally came to his senses saying, “Did we make it?”

“Yep, but why did you pass out?”

“Oh I don’t know, maybe it was all the weight I was carrying!!! Two people and a coconut can be kind of heavy!!!”

“Well I’m sorry but not all of us have wings!”

Katherine kind of laughed at the conversation. After about a week on the boat, we finally reached home, and then the guys and I went our separate ways. I knew I was going to definitely miss the guys, but we might meet again someday, somewhere. I hope that day comes soon, and when it comes, I’ll be waiting for them.
