Aria sat crisscross on her uncomfortable bed, the white sheets were at the end of it and where falling off. The rock hard mattress would creek every time she moved.

Her eyes glanced up from the spider she was watching walk across the room, to saw the nurse with the medication. She didn't move nor say a word, she just looked back at the spider and watched as the nurses foot came into view crushing it.

Aria looked up at the nurse, a harsh look in her purple eyes. Yes, I said purple. Aria was born with a condition were her eyes were a beautiful shade of purple. Though they change color when on medication, to blue.

Nobody knew they changed, only Aria did. She didn't like it. The nurse gave Aria her medication, and she took it. Aria glared as she swallowed it.

"Aria? Look at me please." The nurse said, the nurse furrowed her eyebrows. She could've sworn aria's eyes were purple, but when Aria looked up they were blue.

"What do you want?" Aria snipped at the nurse, she never liked this nurse.

"Oh nothing, I just thought I saw something." The nurse shook her head "your breakfast it ready, go ahead down." She smiled and left.

Aria scrunched her nose and stood up, her white slippers made a shuffling noise when hey brushed against the floor.

She looked at the spiders squished and bloody carcass that was crushed into a crease in the tiles.

"I'm sorry." She whispered and headed down to the dining hall.

Aria's feet shuffled, scraping the floors. She limped lightly when she walked, she never knew why, it just happens. She looked through her eyelashes when she got to the cafeteria. Everybody hushed and looked at her, whispers filled the room.

Aria is fifteen, she's been here since she was four. That's eleven years, the asylum was eerie. Creepy, if you were awake during the night sounds are heard. Cries. Coming from the room directly down the hall from Aria's room.

The room is made for the kids, Aria was moved out of that room when she turned thirteen. That's when she was moved into her room right now. The room for kids was more a playroom, it was run down and had toy trucks, board games, and...dolls.
