We all stayed quiet while the male voice talked.

'Welcome to Hasser Island.
I suppose you are confused right now.

You woke up in an island with no memories or food.
You reached a cabin where you met nine other teenagers who were completely unknown.

You received a letter that said this is you're vacation and that this people will be you're new friends.

But it's not true.

This place is not you're holiday dream.

It's you're worst nightmare.'

A shiver went down my neck. What was this person saying?, I gave a quick look Alex's way and saw her trembling.

Jeremy and John went searching for the voice's source.

The man continued talking.

'You might think this is a joke, that someone made this up to laugh at you.
You're wrong.

If I say this is where you will die, I am not lying.
Because one of you is a serial killer.
And he or she will murder each of you to get out of here.

Because if you kill someone in this island. You get a clue of how to get out.'

The voice stopped.

We all stared at each other with terror.

Anna took her glasses off. The small quiet girl clenched her fists; I could sense she was trying not to cry.

John entered the living room breathing heavily.
He was carrying an old record-player.

He threw the old machine on the table. 'It was coming from here...', he said pointing at the record-player.

The boy called Blake got closer to the table and stared with hate at the machine.

'Fuck you!!!', he screamed breaking the record-player with his bare hands. 'We are not going to die asshole!!!'

I saw a tear slide down Danielle's cheek. 'Yes we are, one of us is going to kill the rest', she muttered.

We all stayed in silence looking at her.

Suddenly, with nobody expecting it, Alex slapped her face.

Danielle rubbed her red cheek confused. 'Why did you...?', she asked with trembling voice.

Alex scratched her head. 'Because you were going crazy, you all are. Do you really believe this shit? If some guy tells you to kill yourself you do it? I doubt it.'

She was right. We were not thinking properly. Whatever that voice had said was not true.
I would never kill someone.

'Alex has a point, we don't have to believe what they're telling us.', I said trying to calm things a bit.

'Yeah. Probably, this is just some kind of experiment to see if we are so stupid to murder each other', Jeremy entered the room.

Danielle nodded with watery eyes. I could see Alex apologising for slapping her.

'I'm sorry, that was not necessary...'

Danielle smiled, 'Thanks for bringing me back to reality...'
Alex blushed and looked into her big blue eyes, 'You're welcome baby face, I could sense from the beginning you weren't as confident as you pretended to be', she joked.

For a moment I wished Alex would stop inventing creepy nicknames for everyone, but then I realised it was imposible.

But I kind of liked Alex and Danielle being friends :)

After all that, we ate some fruit we found in the kitchen and then went outside. I hadn't noticed before the role of cottages behind the big one.

There were ten exactly. One for each. I chose one with a big round window in the front.

Alex stayed with the one beside mine.

The cottage's interior was better than I expected. A big bed with green blanckets in the middle, a small bathroom in the corner, a small closet with simple clothes inside and a desk with some books on top.

I collapsed in my bed and instantly fell asleep.

The memory of my sister dancing in the rain filled my dreams. I could not remember more of my past life, and for some reason, I didn't want to know what happened the day before we came here, to this strange island. To our worst nightmare.
