It's finally Friday. Which means I'll be free from work for a good 4 days after I finish today's assignment. I'm actually going to do today's assignment at the agency, due to me needing the big cork board to put the info I have, up. I rarely go there but I just cleaned my office from the last case I did and I don't plan on making a mess again. Usually, boss comes in and puts the info I have found in files and folders and takes them with him.
I check the time and it's 11 a.m. I take a quick shower and get dressed. I brush my teeth while I wait for my chocolate chip waffles to be ready, grab my keys, and put the waffle in my mouth while I walk out. As I lock my apartment door I get a call.
Vanderwood.
"Hello?" I answer with the waffle still in my mouth.
"Y/N? I heard a rumor that you're up for a big promotion. Congrats!"
"I was wondering when my hard work would be acknowledged" I laughed.
"Well if its true we should go and celebrate! I've been wanting to go try out that new restaurant... Now I have an excuse to go! Are you down?"
"I'm actually on my way to the agency right now. So I'll let you know what happens when I see you."
"Are you driving right now?!" While on the phone with me?!??" he yelled worriedly.
"No Vanderwood. If I was, you would hear the wind hitting the windows! I'm just sitting here waiting for my car to warm up and for you to finish talking." I laughed.
"Well alright then, I'll let you go... Glad you're a responsible young agent! See ya!"
BE-BE-BEEP
He hung up before I could even say goodbye. Sigh~
I connect my phone to the charger, put my Spotify on shuffle, and made my way to work.

"Good morning Y/N! You're wanted at the main office."
The receptionist says the second she sees me walk in. I give her a smile, mouth 'thank you' and start walking towards my boss's office. After what Vanderwood said I'm only getting more and more nervous the closer I get to the door. Once I reach it I take a deep breath and knock.
"Come in."
I hear him say from the other side of the door. As I'm opening the door I notice my hands shaking crazily.
"Good Morning Ms. L/N. Please have a seat."
"Good Morning Mr.Kim. It's good to see you" I say politely.
"Indeed it is. You hardly work here anymore. Glad to see you again!... I called you in today because I looked over the case you turned in recently. And my, my, was I impressed! I still am in fact. You managed to finish the case before the deadline. Do you remember Agent 256?"
"No, sir."
"That is because he had that same case you had and he failed on turning it in on time. You do know what happens when that occurs, correct?"
"Yes, sir I do."
"Good. Well, you managed to turn it in on time, while having less time to work on it, compared to him. With 10x the information he turned in! This brings me to the reason why I've brought you in here today.."
