"Oh Rao! Lena!"
She had completely blacked out in my arms. She suddenly sat up gasping for breath.
"Are you okay? What happened?"
"I forgot how to breathe and made myself pass out."
"Thank god you scared the life out of me!"
She giggled. The noise filled my head and put a smile on my face. Everyone slowly left and it was just me and Lena left in the apartment.
"I have to get to L Corp. you're welcome to join me?" Lena said from the couch.
"I would love to."
We shared a smile and headed down to Lenas Car.

We were the first to arrive at L-Corp completely unaware of what lied just a few floors above us. We finally reached the double doors to Lenas office and when we walked in we were taken back at the sight. Lena's hand gripped mine and I stared in shock. Her office was trashed. The sofa and table over turned, all the contents of her desk was on the floor and her chair was on its side.
"Lena? What the hell happened?"
"I have no idea."

We called NCPD and soon they arrived.
"Hay little Danvers." Maggie said with a faint smile.
"Hay maggie. Do we know what happened here?"
She shook her head sadly. I looked over at Lena who was trying to clear the mess.
"We found nothing. No fingerprints, no sign of a forced entry."
"Wait!"
We both turned to Lena.
"There is a letter."
I rushed over to her side Maggie following closely behind.
"Who is it from."
She turned to me with a expression I very rarely saw. The thing about Lena Luthor is no matter what she always hid her feelings deep down. She never let fear or sadness show and it was very rare that those feelings came to surface. I had only ever seen her terrified twice. When she was thrown from the balcony and in the plane. And this. Her eyes had clouded over and her hands were shaking.
"Lee? Who is it from?"
"Little Luthor?"
"Lex. It's from lex."
I started at the letter in her hand.
"Are you sure?"
"I would recognize the handwriting anywhere."
She slowly opened it and a few stray tears rolled slowly down her face.
"Lee. What does it say?"
"Dearest Lena
*lex's voice*
It seems even prison can't keep me contained. I know about everything. Everything you've done at Luthor Corp. or l corp as you've now named it. I know about your precious friends and the youngest Danvers sister who you care so much for. You've even befriended supergirl. Remember the promise I made to you? I keep my promises. If I remember correctly the last time I saw you you were going against me. You will regret that mark my word. Keep an eye out.
Forever,
*Lena's voice*
Your brother lex"
"My god Lee."
A voice could be heard over Maggies radio and all colour drained from her face.
"Maggie?"
"It's lex. He escaped prison a month ago. No trace since."
Maggie left to report back to the station and I helped Lena clear the office. One everything was sorted I walked and stood next to her.
"Come sit lee. You're still shaking."
I walked her over to the sofa and we sat together. I placed my arm around her neck and I remembered when we last sat like this. When I promised I would always protect her.
"Lee?"
"Yeah?"
"What did lex mean when he said about the promise?"
"When lex rebelled and killed thousands he had me tied to a chair and made me watch it from a window. When I testified against him in prison he killed everyone in the courtroom. As I was being rushed out he said "you will regret this. You will pay."
"Lena."
"I pushed it to the back of my mind but I'm so scared Kara."
"Remember my promise. I will always protect you."
She rested her head on my chest and I wrapped her up in my arms. My heart was going crazy but I blocked it and listened to hers. It was calming, the steady rhythm it had. Lena's voice suddenly pulling me away from my thoughts.
"I think I might know where he is. We will have to fly."
"Let's go."
We rushed down to where her jet was and quickly boarded.
We were halfway through the flight and had pizza and potstickers sat on the table In front of us.
"My best work this plane."
"Wait you build this?!"
"Yep it's completely self sufficient. Even flys itself."
"Wait so there's no one flying it?"
"Humans make mistakes. My technology doesn't."
We were soon once again deep In conversation when a lightning storm surrounded the plane.
"It's fine just a lightning storm."
"Uuuhhhhrrrmmm lee? Since when is lightning purple?"
She raced to the front of the plane when we lost power. I removed my glasses and quickly and quietly exited the plane. I grabbed the bottom and slowly guided it to the land below. Once close enough I left Lena to manually land us while I rushed to my seat. I pretended to pass out just in case she had spoken to me and I did answer. I felt the wheels go down and hit the runway with a thump. Once still I heard Lena call my name and rush back towards me. "Kara? Kara?"
"Yeah. Sorry I think I passed out."
"It's fine. We're here."
I nodded, re adjusted my glasses and followed Lena off the plane towards the warehouse we had landed at.
