Chapter 6

I walked over and collapsed onto my bed. It was a very warm welcoming feeling. I immediatley heard voices outside.

"What happened?" Will questioned Zak.

"The investigation was going fine until she was possessed. Raven took it really hard. I haven't seen this form of possesion ever in my time of being with the GAC crew." He responded his voice sounded slightly strained like he blammed himself for this. It certianly wasn't his fault. It was mine, I let myself become open to the demonic entity. Not him. But I could feel where he came from. I felt helpless when my family died. I felt like I had to be the one to protect them, to save them but I failed. Zak felt as if he had to protect me, save me from dangers. But he had felt he failed, just like I feel. I was brought out of my thoughts to someone saying my name.

"Raven, Raven, Raven." It was Luke. I lifted my head and stared at him.

"What?"

"You spaced out on us again dude." He responded and I laughed.

"Sorry, I was just thinking."

"About what?" Nick asked suddenly interested.

"Stuff."

"Okay then." Riley stated walking into my room with a few of my uncle's friends. With him he had Orion, Dr. Ratchet, Ron, Bee, and Jazz.

"Rave, I heard you had an eventful trip, how do you feel?" Dr. Ratchet asked and made me sit up.

"Just fine, thanks for your concern."

"It is my job as a physician." He responded checking me over.

"What did I miss while I was gone?"

"Not much, Sarah wanted to know if you'd go with Ron to take Annabel to the park." Will spoke smiling at me. The smile dropped from my face.

"I don't think thats such a good idea Will."

"Why not?"

"It just isn't." I snapped and stood up walking outside and away from all the people. I walked under the barn and towards Pepper. I saddled her up and got on gently petting her mane and setting her out in a walk.

"Where do you think your going?" Ron asked as he walked closer to me.

"Out for a ride."

"Who said you could?"

"I did, and its also none of your business what I do."

"It actually is though."

"Actually, last time I checked. You aren't my father. So, I suggest you shut your trap before I make you. You do remember what happened the last time I kicked your ass, right?" He nodded his head staring up at me as I leaned down so my face was closer to his. "We don't want that to happen again, am i correct?" He nodded his head again and I smiled. "Good, now. Stay out of my business or someone will get hurt. And it isn't going to be me hotshot." With that I leaned back up and continued into the woods with Pepper.

Unsaddling Pepper and brushing out her fur I heard the barn door open. I pretended I didn't notice and continued to brush her back.

"Raven?" It was Orion.

"Yes Orion?"

"May I have a talk with you?"

"Uh sure, talk away."

"Well, I was hoping we could go somewhere more...private." I stopped and gently petted Pepper's head.

"Lets go then." I spoke and followed him. I got into the cab of his truck and we drove to an old secluded park in town. When I got out I walked to one of the swings and sat down.
