"what's on your mind little love?"
His voice calls me from my daydreaming
and i grin at him wide,
looking away from the tank.
"Lets be jellyfish." i giggle,
and he raises his eyebrows,
a smile tugging on the ends of his lips.
"i take you to the aquarium and
you'd like to turn into the creatures?"
he inquires and i grin.
"Why not? They float around feeling free.
They're beautiful and unique.
Wouldn't it be amazing to live like that?"
I ask, excitement bubbling in my voice.
"There's one part you're missing,"
he teases, looking away, and i look
back at the jellyfish then to him again.
"What is it?" I press and he smirks a little.
"You already live like that.
Floating, beautiful, unique.
That's all things you are."
He tells me and i blush scarlet.
I gently set my forehead on the glass
and one of the small jellyfish turns
from blue into the color of my blush.
"Wait, look!" i say, and he laughs.
"See, you're already one of them."
he teases and i roll my eyes at him.
He lifts my hand to his lips,
grazing a kiss on my knuckles.
"I may be one of them, but you're the one
who needs to embrace their jellyfish-ness."
I tell him, mock pouting, and he grins.
"I do embrace it." He dismisses.
I smile and follow him, holding his hand.
"Oh yeah? Prove it~!" I tease and he laughs.
"Fine, i'll change color just like they do!" He laughs,
and before i can ask how,
he leans forward and kisses my cheek.
I already know i'm pink, but
watching his cheeks flush red makes me laugh.
"Very well done my little jellyfish." I tease.
"Th-Thanks little love."
