Dee Dee Blanchard was a 45 year old single mum with no job who was a full time career for her daughter gypsy rose Blanchard(who was entirely dependent on her mother)
Gypsy rose suffered so many conditions including asthma, epilepsy,hearing/vision impaired ,learning difficulties,brain damage ,sleep apnea,muscular dystrophy -which caused her to be in a wheel chair -ext.This was all due to gypsy being born prematurely.

When Dee dee was younger she involved herself in petty theft ,her father thought this was her acting out when things didn't go her way , . Dee Dee's mother died in Dee Dee's care when she was younger ,her father believed she killed her own mother by poisoning her drinks and denying her food.
