When Dee Dee was 24 she fell pregnant with 17 year old rod Blanchard's baby since they didn't want to have a baby without getting married they decided it was a good idea to arrange it .soon after gypsy was born Dee Dee and rod got divorced because rod realised he was getting married for all the wrong reasons .since Dee Dee and gypsy had no where else to go they moved back in with Dee Dee's father and step mother .
When gypsy was three months old Dee Dee was convinced she had sleep apnea ,she took her to the hospital and all the tests came back negative but Dee Dee was still certain that she had it .
During this time Dee Dee and gypsy where still living with Dee Dee's parents and suddenly her step mother fell deadly sick .Her father and step mother claim while Dee Dee was preparing her step mother's food she would poison it with weed killer,this left her step mother to be bed ridden and everyone thought she was going to die .
During this time Dee Dee was arrested several times for different charges such as faking medications .
Since her step mother just kept getting more and more ill her father confronted her about poisoning her step mother and being a genuinely bad mother to gypsy ,Dee Dee got so highly offended she left and took gypsy with her .after she left her step mother magically got better.
