strange feelings

It was a nice day in Konoha, sunny and bright and it was itachi's day off, shisui also had the day off as well.

They were going to meet up together, so they can spend the day playing with sasuke, for itachi had promised sasuke he would play with him.

Since shisui had the day off as well he decided to tag along, so currently they were in their field where they would usually train at, they were playing ninjas.

Sasuke was running around giggling while itachi and shisui were chasing him, he was the bad guy, shisui and itachi were the ninjas.

It was really nice, itachi finally snuck up behind sasuke, he grabbed him and pick him up.

" I got you!! "

" What no, that's not fair "

Itachi puts sasuke down and saw him pouting, shisui smiles and ruffles his hair.

" It's ok sasuke you can get us next time "

Sasuke frowns a bit, but it quickly turns into a smile he looks at them.

" Yeah I will, and I'll win for sure!! "

They all began to laugh together, about five minutes later a Shinobi comes.

" Uchiha Itachi the Hokage has requested your present "

Shisui nods at him and itachi nods back.

" Alright tell him I'm on my way "

The Ninja nods and teleports away leaving behind a puff of white smoke, itachi looks over at sasuke.

" Sorry sasuke I have to go, I promise not to be long, in the meantime play with shisui "

" What? already, fine but you better come back "

" Don't worry I will "

He ruffles his hair and shisui looks at him, he smiles at him telling him it's going to be alright, he starts to walk away from them.

~ timeskip ~

It was getting late the sun was starting to set, itachi wasn't back yet and shisui decided he'd walk sasuke home.

But right as they were starting to, itachi comes back and Sasuke tackles him in a hug.

" You said you wouldn't take long! "

" Sorry sasuke it seems I lost track of time, I promise to make it up to you "

He ruffles his hair and Sasuke looks at him.

" You promise "

" I promise "

" Pinky promise "

He holds out his pinky and itachi chuckles.

" Pinky promise "

He wraps his pinky around sasuke's, and shake their Pinky's.

" Ok let's get going home "

" Ok, sorry I left you with sasuke shisui, he wasn't much trouble was he "

" No not at all, let me walk you guys home "

" Alright "

They all began walking to itachi's house, when they got their.

" Hey itachi can I talk to you? "

" Sure sasuke head inside "

" Ok! "

Sasuke rushes inside to wash up for dinner, itachi turns to look at shisui.

" So what held you up? "

" The Hokage wanted to talk to me, about how things with the uchiha's are. He assigned me a mission tomorrow "

" I see, what time are you leaving tomorrow? "

" I leave as soon as the sun rises, it's a Solo mission "

" What ranking? "

" S "

Shisui looks at him uneasy, he doesn't like the idea of itachi going on a mission by himself, especially a S rank mission.

" Don't worry shisui I'll be fine "

He placed a hand on his shoulder and gives him a smile.

" Alright, I'll meet you at the gates at six to see you off "

" Alright, get some sleep "

" Same to you "

Shisui starts to walk away and itachi heads inside his house, shisui didn't like the idea of him going on that mission, but he trusted itachi.

He knew itachi could handle himself, but still something didn't fell right, he shrugged it off and decided to head home to eat and get a good night's rest.

~ the next day ~

It was six and shisui was waiting by the gate of the village waiting for itachi, and not too long after he comes dressed in his ANBU uniform with his mask off in his left hand.

" Hey itachi "

" hello Shisui "

Shisui felted something off today when he woke up, he had this strange feeling in his gut, telling him something was wrong.

He didn't know why though, and now that he was here with itachi, it only got worse.

" Itachi you know you don't have to go on this mission, you can always- "

" Shisui I'm fine, I know your worried but trust me I'll be fine "

" But you know it's a dangerous world, what if you get injured badly or die "

" Shisui I'll be fine, so stop worrying about me, you sound like my wife or something "

" Shut up itachi "

He punches him on the arm lightly and they both began to laugh.

" Just be careful out there itachi "

" I know, I better be taking off "

He puts on his mask and looks at shisui.

" Be safe itachi, don't do anything stupid "

" I know shisui, see you soon "

" Yeah "

Itachi starts to walk away, for some strange reason he just wanted to reach out for his hand and hold him back.

But he knew he was just over thinking things, he knew itachi could take care of himself he's not a child anymore, but still something just didn't feel right.
