3rd Person Pov:

The conversation came to an aprupt stop, as Present Mic yelled: "Did you all see that?! You can't miss this right now! Three students from class 1-A are on the lead. Todoroki, Bakugou and (L/N)! But watch out for the last obstacle!" The crowd began to cheer. But one man didn't cheer. He just continued to watch (Y/N). He studied her movements and thought about making his decision.

Now:

(Y/N) Pov:

"Outta my way!" I yelled at Kacchan. I don't have a problem with him behing behind me, though. But he doesn't want to... "They haven't announced how many people will make it forward, so you can't relax! Push forward!" yelled Mic-Sensei. Of course! As if I wouldn't... As I was jumping, I looked back and spotted Deku. Poor Deku, he can't use his quirk... He saw me and I waved at him with a smile on my face. Though, my nose's still bleeding. He smiled back, but didn't wave. I mean, he couldn't, so I don't blame him. As I turned around again, I saw the next obstacle. "And now, we've quickly arrived at the final barrier! The reality here is that it's a minefield!" Oh! So that's what it is! "It's set up so that you can tell where the mines are, if you look carefully! So you have to exploit your eyes and legs! By the way, these landmines are for games, so they're not that powerful, but they're loud and flashy enough to make you wet your pants!" "That depends on the person." said Sensei. I get how it works, but looking for them costs time. I landed in front of the field and looked at it. They're not that well hidden. I don't even have to search them. But... I took a rock from next to me and threw it at one of the mines. A loud sound was heard and the rock was flung away. I didn't expect them to be this loud... As I looked at the field, I saw that Shouto was already halfway there. And other people came from behind me. How're they so fast?! I took a deep breathe before making my decision. If I do it carefully, like Shouto, I wouldn't make it in time. So... The only option I have is to just jump in there and try to not step on one of them! And so I did. The first jump went well. The second didn't... I landed right on a mine and was sent flying forwards. That's when it hit me. I-I can use the mines to boost me! But one isn't enough... I tried to gather some and put them on one spot. As I finished,  I jumped on them and was immediately flung forward. It hurt a bit, but wasn't that bad. I flew past some others. Then I saw Kacchan. His quirk's really awesome, too! He just uses his explosions to keep himself from touching the ground! He quickly got past Shouto and I smirked. Seems like this's going to be a tough end. I love it! While flying past Shouto, Kacchan attacked him. Oh, well... It's still Kacchan... "And now, we've got someone new in the lead!" Tch. I was trying to boost me with air, but boy, that's really hard to keep the balance. "Rejoice, mass media! It's the kind of development you guys love!" Nearly... Wait! Kacchan's in front of me... That means...! Yes! Only a few meters closer and I should be able to do it! "Hey, hey, hey, the rest of the pack is also speeding up! However! Even as they push and pull at each other, can the two at the top remain in the lead?" I'm at the top, too! Stupid Mic-Sensei... I was about to land, but decided to go back up by using fire. My vision stared to get blurry again and I'm not feeling well right now... I need to end this quickly! Suddenly, there was a huge explosion behind us. I turned and saw Deku flying with an immense speed. My eyes widen and I stared at him. But thanks to the force of the big explosion, I was getting faster. Yes! "Was it an accident, or was it on purpose? Class !'s Midoriya is in hot pursuit with that blast!" No! He's already past us! Now! I can use it on Deku, too! I extended my left arm and threw a rank at Deku. It stuck on the bot part that he was flying on, just like planned! I flew quickly with him. Well... behind him. But I got closer to him with every second. "Actually, he's taken the lead! Looks like Midoriya and (L/N) are in the lead!" We're nearly over the field! The landing'll be rough, but I'll manage! I'm sure of it! "Deku!" yelled Kacchan, "Don't go ahead of me!" "Eek!" I shrieked and tried to move faster. I know, he meant Deku, but he has that scary look on his face! I looked back one final time and saw Shouto using his eyes. Okay. Concentrate. The landing. Just concentrate on the landing. Do it like before and you'll be fine. You can do it, (Y/N)! I ignored Mic-Sensei and was already on Dekus bot part. I clung myself at him and he looked surprised. I said: "Hey! Long time no see!" He was still shocked and tried to kick me down, which didn't really work. "Geez. No need to be so mean." He continued to try and I decided to just jump down. As I did that, I pressed his bot part down and he had to land in a few seconds. I landed on my knees and immediately started running again. Mic-Sensei was yelling something, but I, again, ignored him.

Deku Pov:

I was way too low to make it further. I need to land now. Oh no... They'll take over in an instant. Thinking about the time I'd lose landing, there's no way I'd be able to take back the lead. Damn it! No! Don't let go! Grab hold of that chance you got to get in front of these two, and don't let go! If I can't take back the lead, then I can't let them get ahead of me! I slammed the metal part in the ground in front of me and activated some mines. They boosted me towards the front and the other were blown to the sides. I landed and continued running. Only (N/N) left! "Midoriya swiftly blocks those behind him! Would you believe it? He cleared the minefield in an instant! Will he make it past (L/N)?" I could hear Kacchan yelling something, but I didn't turn around. "Erased Head, your class is amazing! What're you teaching them?!" Aizawa-Sensei said: "I didn't do anything. They got each other fired up on their own." There's the finishing line! W-What?! (N/N)'s getting slower?! As I ran past her, I saw her spitting blood. My eyes widened, but I continued to run. "UA sports festival, first-year stage!" "Not listening?!" "Who could've predicted the developments at the beginning or this conclusion?" As I was about to run past the line, something grabbed me and threw me a bit behind. It felt like a plant. I turned my head and looked at (N/N), who was running past me. She let go of me and I tried to run ahead of her. I managed to get near her. Just a little bit... We're even! C'mon! Present Mic yelled: "Right now, the first person back in the stadium is..." He paused while we stopped. "D-Did I w-win?" asked (N/N). "I'm not sure." "It's...!"
