MADDWAYNE- mafia series part 1

Chapter 7

"Em! You're ch-ch-choking me!" I grunted, breathing hard. After what felt like ages, she finally let go and I inhaled deeply.

Idiot!

From the corner of my eye, I could see Em eyeing Kygo's perfectly built torso, hiding her blush behind her hair. Kygo did look at her, but the thought of Em looking at him that way brought him nothing but confusion.

Aww! How cute would they look if they were together? Well, let's give it a try!

I elbowed Em and grinned at Kygo but he narrowed his brows.

Great! She likes him. He doesn't like her....yet. But how can he say 'no' to a goddess like Emily?

I'm not a very nice girl, I love irritating Kygo for sure and that's because he is my amazing-zing guy best friend. Time for some fun!

"Hey Emily, do you have any pictures together? Like, you and this 'bouncer guy'?"

"Um...no, I guess?"

She moved an inch closer to me and whispered in my ear "Don't try something stupid or I'll make sure you have a grave dug for you." I ignored all her glares and squealed so even Kygo could hear- "Then go! Stand next to Kygs. Don't glare at me, just go!"

She quietly went and stood next to this 6'1 bouncer guy, covering her blush with her beautiful chocolate brown hair. I couldn't stop grinning! "Say cheese!". I could see Kygo smiling so beautifully, but Emily was blushing with such intensity that it looked like she was posing for her wedding album.

Damn! She's an angel!

I couldn't stop giggling and I started- "Darling just hold my hand, be my girl I'll be your man..."

"Shut the duck up!" Em yelled so loud that Kygo cringed. He silently left the room after that, excusing himself saying he wants to go the loo.

It was about 9:30pm that Emily came back to the room. "Who loves pizza?" She whooped. "yay..." I said in a bored tone. We were supposed to go to bed soon, according to Emily and I  thought this was the best opportunity to tell her about going to Zaan's place. Or wait. I guess I'll have to tell Kygo before that.

I looked at Kygo but he was busy looking out of the window, admiring the stars. Just then, Emily entered with our dinner. I knew this pizza wouldn't fill Kygo's protein filled body and decided to order some food for him while Emily was off to clean up. 

As I picked up her phone and dialed our favorite hunger savior's number, Kygo ordered spaghetti and zuppa toscana and a bottle of Amaretto. Em entered the room when room when Kygo was telling the address.

Great!

"Mi dispiace, Kygo.. I should've made some 'actual' food, you know? I kinda.. didn't know."

"Hey, it's fine, actually! I ordered some food. Don't worry!"

"I should've thought..." Her voice was low. Obviously, not feeding your CRUSH properly when he comes for a sleepover can definitely make someone sensitive like Emily sad, I think. To my greatest  surprise, Kygo went straight to her and hugged her, making sure not to crush her super sensitive bones.

"It's fine Em! I sometimes wonder why you are this sensitive! Its just food, buddy. By the way, your pizza was amazing." I could see her eyes beaming with happiness when he said that. Like......seriously?                                                                                                                                                                   He restrained and went back to sit on the bed. "Em, I guess the food has arrived. Could you get it for us, please?"

"Oh, Yeah! Sure thing!" She left with her high pony tail swinging as she walked towards the door, glancing once towards Kygo before shutting the door.

"Kygs?"

"Hmm?"

"Tell me the truth.. why did you drop my phone in the pool? Wait.. we don't have both of our phones. Why is that?"

"Lina, flower, if we had our mobiles with us, there is a possibility that Lorenzo might track our location and we have such expert hackers in our mafia who can actually tap the microphone and listen to our entire conversation. Cross-talk is also possible. I knew we were not coming here for a mere sleepover and that is the reason I chose to damage your phone. Now, will you tell me the actual reason behind coming over to this place?"

"What the heck?" I gasped, covering my mouth with my palm in shock.

"Now spit all the shit."    

 "what kinda shit?"

 "Lorenzo and the reason why your mother gave you all you grade sheets and stuff and asked you to hide it in Emily's?"           

"Listen. Ma told me to hide them. That's all I know, Kygs. Plus, I'm not hiding anything at Emily's place. We have to somehow reach Zaan's place. Think of something. And Oh! by the way, do you think it would be advisable to tell Emily about Lorenzo and all his mess?"     

"You are not spilling the beans, understand, Lina? Emily is to know nothing about this. Besides I swear its a weird feeling to know someone's crushing on you but you can't reciprocate any of their feelings. It feels like shit, you know?

"Fine, but do you like her?"

"Um, yeah.. I do.. but there is someone really special in my life. Someone I really love and want to live the rest of my life with." 

Oh, God! This bouncy bouncy guy is blushing!

He was lost into thoughts after that but I chose to remain silent. I know he would tell me when the right time comes. He has never hidden anything from me since we were kids, and I know this wouldn't be hidden for long either.

"So guys, what shall we watch? Suits or GOT?" Em asked, rolling to her side and switching on the laptop. I was now crushed between Em and Kygo.

"Em?"

"Yeah, Peach?"

"Can we talk? It's important." She immediately straightened up and looked into my eyes to find any clue. Luckily, I didn't give away any emotions, especially anxiety.

I gave her all my papers and asked her to keep it in the safest place in her house, stressing on the fact that she is not to question me or Kygo about this. As she arranged all my papers in her so-called safe place, I placed some of our books in my bag. I would give it to Zaan past midnight or maybe in the morning before sunrise as it was already 10:30pm.

All the three of us then rolled on the bed and played another episode of 'Suits'. Kygo was busy munching his food and I didn't leave the chances of pulling Emily's leg over Kygo. I caught her stealing glances at him, which was so cute. I wish the girl whom Kygo was talking about could be her.

Oh, How I wish!

We were enjoying everything about this sleepover, until..........
