Entry Ten: Heat

I had this amazing dream the other night, and I wanted to share it with you all.

Consider it a kick in the pants to Alpha stories.

I dreamt of a she-wolf in a cabin in the woods, going through a phase of amorousness, but not a heat.  In this universe, it seemed to be a natural thing to happen.  A she-wolf has primal needs, craves to be dominant, and enjoys the pleasures of animalistic sex.  When she goes into this mode, wolves nearby will hunt her down to pleasure her.  In my dream, however, it didn't quite happen that way.

A human male stumbles upon the she-wolf in amorousness, and she doesn't hesitate.  She pounces on him and screws him senseless, and while the human male is very confused at first, he willing gives in and caters to her desires.  She enjoys her time with him immensely and falls asleep, content, in his arms.  However, when she comes back down-to-earth, she realizes how bad this is, and insists that he leave at once and that he is never to talk to her again, and they can never do that again.  He's confused, but he agrees to her demands and heads off.

In this particular vision, mates are chosen, not fated (though older wolves believe they are), and while they are all aware of other wolves, they don't live in packs.  Some live in pockets, but never official packs.  A particular made of a strong pocket of wolves wants the she-wolf for herself.  He was hoping to get to her during her amorous mood, and was pissed to discover that a human defiled her.  The she-wolf insists that he leave the human alone, and that she'll become his mate willingly as long as he stays away from human.  The man begrudgingly agrees, but hates the idea that he wasn't able to please her first.

However, fate isn't done with the she-wolf and the human male.  They are students at the same university, and they end up bumping into each other.  She's vastly different from the amorous she-wolf he found in the woods - a little nerdy, a little awkward, but still very beautiful.  She insists that he stay away from her for his own safety, but these two are clearly drawn to one another.  However, when the strong male wolf discovers that the human wolf continues to make contact with "his" she-wolf, he starts plotting the humans demise.

The she-wolf experiences an amorous mood again, and the strong he-wolf does it best to take advantage of this situation.  But it's a disaster - the she-wolf won't allow him near her and even attacks him, running off.  Of course, she finds the human male, as she only wants to mate with him and only him.  This time, she allows him to dominate her, and she is all to happy to oblige.

The she-wolf is surprised to discover that the human male is her mate - her fated mate.  This freaks her out as she always believed that mates were chosen, never fated.  But it makes sense - she's in love with the human, and she'll won't any other man touch her, or she'll kill them.  The human male loves her, too, and can't stay away from her.  Of course, this is a dangerous situation.  With a jealous, possessive male wolf plotting to kill you, the situation can only get more tense.

I might actual write this one in the future, if I have time.  It sounds very hot.
