If you weren't so jetlagged you could of sworn you felt Calum's lips brushing against your ear as you were drifting off to sleep last night. His voice felt thick and warm as he held you close to his bare chest, and whatever he asked you, it made his soft lips stretch into a smile on the back of your neck when you wearily nodded in response, slipping into a heavy, dreamless sleep not long after.

Now, as the bright sun seeps through the back of your eyelids, you immediately note the absence of pressure draped around your waist and the lack of soft curls tickling you between your shoulder blades. On Calum's off days, the two of you were usually joined at the hip, especially since he'd earned a little down time between touring. It's been almost 5 months since you to were able to last see each other, and it almost felt surreal to see him without a screen between the two of you.

"Calum?" You call out, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. The alarm clock on the nightstand says it's almost ten, yet your body felt like it barely even got a wink of sleep. You roll your eyes when you hear no response and hastily drag yourself from the warm, tussled bed.

You found Calum pacing the living room with his cellphone pressed to his ear. The frown on his face deepens when he spots you leaning against the door frame, and he clumsily juggles his phone between his hands before adbrutly ending the call.

"What was that all about?" You ask, an amused grin rising to your lips. In your year of dating you thought you'd be used to his little antics by now.

"Wha-?Oh nothing!" He blurts a bit too quickly, causing you to flinch. He couldn't of possibly thought that it was the least bit convincing since he kept his bottom lip clamped between his teeth as he searched for something else to say.

You nod slowly, narrowing your eyes at his secretive behavior. It was definitely strange that he was so jumpy, but it didn't raise any red flags.

Instead of badgering him like any sane person you stretch your arms out above your head and yawn. "Well..you keep being weird, i'm going back to sleep."

"What!?" He grunts, suddenly grabbing onto your wrist. You look at him, than your arm, then back at him again, and he lets go, sheepishly running a hand through his curls. "Sorry babe." He murmurs, picking his gaze from off the ground. "I just thought that we could go out today. You're only in town for a week before you have to go back home, and I've missed our little adventures."

A smile rises to your lips, and you take a step forward and gently cusp his puffy cheek in your hand. It always made you heart flutter when he leaned into your touch. "Calum." You say softly, looking into his eyes. "I love you, I really do, but I think the only thing I love more is sleep, and she is calling my name."

He mirrors your actions, rubbing his warm thumb over your cheek. "Well ignore her." He says dryly, a sly grin rising to his lips "Because we're going out."

You scoff, getting ready to give him the finger when you notice something in his deep brown eyes, something you rarely received from your boyfriend unless you were being intimate. They had the same glossed over glare as when you would tease him, hanging him on the edge until you thought he would explode. He was silently pleading with you, though he probably didn't realize it at the moment.

You groan, taking a step back. "Fine. But before we go anywhere I'm going to have to get some coffee in me."

He instantly perks up."Coming right up!" He exclaims, waving his finger in the air. He beelines toward the kitchen and you follow close behind, sliding your hands around his bare torso.

You plant a kiss on the center of his back and he turns around to face you, his peachy cheeks growing hot underneath your lips. "I thought you wanted coffee?" He snickers into your neck, sliding his large hands down to your hips. You two stood silently against the kitchen counter for a moment, content with each other's company. His breath tickled the back of your ears as you gently swayed back and forth, closing your eyes as you breathed in his scent.
