Ino was just locking up her shop when she saw Sai walking up. "He didn't joke about getting me at closing time. Good thing I had time to get ready right before." She thought and turned to him. She had that purple dress on and just left her hair how it was. She had very little makeup on and some lipgloss on as well. With the heels she was nearly taller than him so maybe she should've gone with flats. She shrugged and looked him over. He had a pair of black dress pants and dress shoes. His shirt was a white button up and he had the sleeves rolled up a bit. It wasn't insanely dressy but she liked it just how it was. She tucked her purse close and then started to follow him to wherever he decided to take her to eat. It was a pretty quiet walk actually, Sai didn't talk much so it was a little odd. She blinked a couple times as he takes her arm gently and walks her into the restaurant, smiling a bit.

"Did Shikamaru and Choji tell you about this place?" Ino asked.

"Why yes, is that okay?" Sai replied.

"That's fine. Seems like such a nice place." She smiled as they walked to their table.

Sai pulled out her chair for Ino to sit—he read that in a book. Then he gently pushed her chair in and sat across from her. He watched as those pale blue eyes scanned over the romantic scenery. The sky was dark so there was string lights and candles set up. The flowers were full bloom now and petals covered the stone pathway. She looked completely in love with everything around her and then she slowly looked down at the menu. He smiled and looked down too, usually he got whatever Naruto and Sakura got but they were here and he had never been to this place before. He shrugged a bit as he read over those options.

"How's your day been Sai?" Ino asked, making him look up from the menu.

"It's been very nice. I got these new clothes and I spent most of it walking around the village reading. How was your day?" Sai asked back and tilted his head.

"It was better when you were around." She smiled and pushed her hair back.

"It was?"

"Mhm...my customers were sweet today though. No problems there just a stupid idiot bitch...." she trailed of with her words as she thought about what had happened.

"Stupid idiot bitch? What was that? I have heard those words describe Naruto, is that who you are referring to?"

"Naruto? No, not him. I don't even know that guy but he's just so damn persistent."

"A guy?"

Ino nodded before a waitress came over. She just got a water and a salad to start off. Sai did the exact same and she smiled a bit. She figured that's how he was going to be but she didn't mind. She then fixed her dress a little before looking back at those dark eyes. She had a type, definitely but she was glad she gave up on that whole thing with Sasuke. He ended up being even more of a prick than before and rarely comes to visit Sakura so she's usually lonely. Sai on the other hands seems like he would be interested all the time to see her and she really enjoyed that.

"What kind of guy?" Sai asked again.

"Worried~? Ha, don't be. He's a complete asshole. He just keeps bothering me. Today he even broke into my home. My home? Like who does that?" Ino ranted off.

"He did that? If you point him out I will gladly take care of that man for you." He replied.

"No, it's okay. No need to kill anyone. Okay?" She smiled at him.

"Are you sure? I do not mind."

"I'm sure Sai."

The waitress came over and sets down the waters and the salads. Ino ordered her dinner and Sai got the exact same. She smiled softly and started to fork at her salad. They both ate their food, staying somewhat quite while they did. After a bit of time the waitress brought over their dinner. Ino sipped on some water before she started to eat her own food, glancing over at Sai once in a while. He was so quiet, she kind wished they could keep up a conversation but she was a little shy too. Even though she pushed and pushed for Shikamaru to ask Temari out she was too shy to keep herself talking. She felt like Hinata but now she even had a boyfriend and they were constantly with each other. She only was about to finish about half her food, looking over at Sai who was still eating.

"Are you not going to keep eating?" Sai asked.

"No, I'm full. I'll just get the rest to go." Ino smiled.

Sai nodded and then the waitress came over setting the check down. Ino goes into her purse to grab out some money but Sai quickly got out his own. He takes to check and reads over it before Ino could see and he smiled. He sets his money on, paying for both and then asked for a box for both. Ino smiled more as she watched how quickly he took the check.

"What was that for? I could've paid for my own." Ino said softly.

"I've read that it's appropriate and gentlemanly to pay for the meal." Sai smiled at her.

"How sweet of you~" she smiled and hummed at him, battering her lashes.
