*Gianna's pov

"Time for bed ladies" Adam said turning off the tv. "Not.. Tired" Gabby yawned. "Uh huh" Adam smirked. "I'll put her to bed and be back down to help clean up" he said kissing me. I smiled, this has come so easy to him. He has nothing to worry about, he will make, he is, a great father. I started cleaning up the plates and cups and put them in the trash. Thank god for paper plates and cups I thought. I headed back into the living room and Adam slipped his arms around me from behind. "Mmmm you smell so good" he said kissing my neck. I smiled and place my hands on his, "so do you" I said. I turned around and kissed him wrapping my arms around his neck. "Leave it, come to bed with me" he begged leaving endless kisses on my neck. "You are so bad, what about Gabby?" I asked. "She can't join" he said his teeth grazing my neck and shoulder. "Not what I meant, what if she catches us?" "She's asleep and we're married" he said. "But she's getting used to you being her dad I don't think it would be good if she caught us" I said melting against him. "She won't" he whispered and picked me up and carried me upstairs throwing me on the bed. He shut the door and crawled over me. He kissed me softly his body passed against me, begging for me. I pulled off his shirt and pulling him down needing to be close to him. Something pulled me to him, more than just his sweet scent, more than that sexy smirk. Something kept whispering that something wasn't right, like a voice in my head.

I pushed him back, "something's wrong" I said staring at him. "Yea you pushed me away, you've never done that, hell no ones ever down that" he said. I eyed him, "no something's off. You're off" I accused. "What? What are you talking about?" He asked sitting up. "Something isn't right with you. What's going on?" I asked again. "Nothing" he said getting up. "Liar" I said looking him straight in the eye. "No I'm not" he said and got up. "Adam Noah Levine I'm not taking your bullshit, what the hell is wrong?" I asked. "NOTHING!" He said, his voice raised turning to look at me. I pushed him against the wall inches behind him, "don't lie to me!" I said getting nervous, this wasn't like him. Tears spilled from his eyes, "what if I mess this all up? What if I ruin that little girls life? What if I can't be the father everyone thinks I am? What if I screw up this kids life?" He asked finally resting his hands on my belly. "I've been holding it in since this morning mostly, but since you told me you were pregnant. I honestly don't think I can do this, and everyone is so convinced I can! I want kids Gi, but..." His crying took control, his shaking voice gave into it. He rested his head on my shoulder and I held him close. We stood there a few minutes his tears soaking my shirt. I cupped his face and kissed him gently. "You are going to do fine. Will you make mistakes? Probably. Will I? Probably. But you're not alone. And everyone thinks you'll be a great father because you are so good with Sam and Liza and Makayla and Katie. And you'll be great with Gabby too. I know that because you care so much, and as long as you care you can't be doing anything wrong" I assured him.

He shook his head protesting but I lead him back to bed and made him lay down. I laid next to him, "why do you think you'll mess them up?" I asked. "I don't know anything about kids" he said. I kissed him, "okay then let's role play a few scenarios" I said. "That's not the type of role playing I like in bed" he pouted. "Do you want to feel confident about being a dad or what?" I asked eyeing him. He nodded. I sat up and thought, "daddy the girls at school called me names! They think I'm stuck up and snobby!" I acted. "Gianna..." "Just go along with it and gimme a break I didn't have anything planned" I shot back. He sighed, "well sweetheart some people haven't been taught manners" he started. "What's that?" I asked in a kid voice. "It's how you act and treat others. Just remember you're not. You're a sweet girl with a good heart" he said unsure of himself. "Not bad" I said. "Daddy will you have a tea party with me?" I asked. "Uh.." He eyed me. "Yes?" He questioned. "Here's a tip always yes to tea parties and dress up with little girls" I said. He nodded. "Dad my boyfriend dumped me." "No no no, my daughter isn't going to date until she's 40!" He said. I laughed, "you know that won't happen, now come on" I said. He groaned, "what happened sweetheart?" He asked. "He wanted to have sex and I'm not ready" I offered up. He glared, "hey it happens, I've witnessed it in school" I said hands up defending myself. "Well then he isn't good enough for my baby girl. Never let anyone force you to do anything you don't want to do" I said. "Nice job dad" I smiled. "Okay last one" I said and thought a moment. I stopped and stripped down to my bra and panties and slipped under the covers. He followed suit and pulled me close. "Well?" I thought some more and looked at him. "I'm sick" I faked coughing, a terrible headache, and a sore stomach. He rubbed my back and kissed my forehead, "come here" he said and pulled me to his lap. "You left me hanging by a thread" he started. I smiled, "nice call" I interrupted with a kiss. He hugged me tight, "thank you" he said and we stayed like that humming goodnight goodnight until we fell asleep.

I woke up and slipped out of bed and pulled on sweatpants and a tank and headed downstairs. "Good morning Gianna" Wendy said smiling, "it seems you guys had fun last night" she teased. "Uh yea you could say that" I said grabbing a cup of tea. I heard footsteps on stairs and expected to see Adam, but Gabby appeared instead. "And who is this?" Wendy asked, "I know Adam goes for younger but" she laughed. "Wendy this is Gabby, Adam's daughter, Gabby this is our housekeeper Wendy. She is amazing and knows everything that goes on here. If you need to talk she's an amazing listener, and gives great advice" I said. "Nice to meet you Gabby" Wendy said smiling. "Nice to meet you too" Gabby said. "What can I get you for breakfast sweetie?" She asked. "Cereal is fine" Gabby said. "Cereal? How about something hot?" She asked. "Don't go to any trouble" she said. "It won't be because I want pancakes!" Adam said coming downstairs. He kissed me lightly, smiled a bright smile to Gabby and Wendy, "good morning ladies" he smirked. "Pancakes Gabby?" He asked. She nodded. "Gi?" He asked me. "Yes please" I said. " What do you want??" She asked, "chocolate chip" I said. "Blueberry" Adam and Gabby said and they laughed. I giggled a little and so did Wendy. She went about making breakfast and I pour some juice. "So Adam, what's the plan for today?" I asked. "Well I figured I should probably go see the studio we haven't been there in a while" he said. "Ooh yeah, I forgot about work" I laughed. "I told you you'd like being a house wife better" he teased kissing me. "Yea yea yea, how has it been holding up with Tony in charge" I asked. "It hasn't burned down, but from what I can tell bills haven't been a major concern" he shrugged. "Okay we'll then how about I go back to work and straighten it all out and give him some pointers and you too can hit the mall and get her some stuff. I can meet you there after and we can get some baby stuff" I offered. "Do you think that's a good idea?" He asked nervously.

Gabby looked up, "we don't have to Adam, it's okay" she said sipping her juice and heading upstairs. "Gabby I..." He watched her go and looked back at me. "Go after her" I said my hand on his shoulder. "I don't think I can" he said. I kissed him, "I know you can, trust yourself" I said. "Here bring these up to her" Wendy said and handed him two plates piled high with blueberry pancakes and syrup. He smiled, "thanks Wendy." She smiled back and I dug into my own plate.

*Adam's pov

I carried the plates upstairs and took a deep breath and knocked on the door. It was quiet, "Gabby please" I said. She groaned and opened the door and sat on the bed flipping through a magazine. I eyed it closely, one of Gianna's glamour girl ones. I shook my head, I had no idea why girls loved those magazines. "Here's your breakfast" I said holding out a plate. She shook her head. I put the plates on the desk and sat with her, "look at me Gabby" I said. She looked at me, "what? You don't even want me here, I can see that. I may be 10 but I'm not stupid. Just send me home" she said. "I do want you here" I said lifting her chin to look at me. "Listen I don't know how to be a dad. I don't know how to handle a 10 year old girl. I don't know how to shop for a 10 year old. I probably can't answer all your questions. I'm scared" I said. "Scared of what?" "I'm scared I'm gonna ruin all of this, and your mother is going to hate me for not taking better care of you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there from the start if I had known I would've." She looked at me. "Despite all of that I want you here. I want to get to know you. I want to be the dad that everyone seems to think I can be. I'm going to make mistakes and I won't know what to do all the time but I can promise you that I will love you, and so will Gianna" I assured her. She nodded, "if you still want to go shopping I will be happy to take you" I said. She nodded, "can I help you pick out baby stuff too?" She asked. I smiled, "yea Gianna would love your help. Me I'm not good at coordinating rooms" I laughed. She smiled brightly and hugged me, "thanks Adam." "Now how about breakfast?" I asked handing her a plate.
