His Arrival

It was 8:38 A.M. and I was wondering where he was. I started pacing. And no, not in front of Eli, just in Darcy's room. After a good 10 minutes, she woke up.

"Clare?!" she said a bit angrily.

I replied,"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Darce! I was j-just pacing"

She looked at me like I was crazy. "And why are you pacing in my room?"

"Because, I don't want Eli to see me pacing because he will worry about me, and because i'm going to the pediatrician today and I might be late for the appointment"

She started nodding. "Waiting for that Drew kid?"

I nodded. Then she suddenly got up and went to the kitchen for breakfast. I went back upstairs to my room to think about stuff.

5 minutes right after I got up there, I heard the doorbell. I let Darcy get it for me. Even though we have these speaker things to let people in in every room.

"CLARE! It's for you!" Yelled my sister.

I quickly ran down the stairs and to the front door. As I was about to reach the doorway, I saw Drew awkwardly smiling.

"Hey Drew" I said when I stood next to Darcy.

"Hey Clare, and let me guess, this is.... Your cousin?" Asked Drew.

I laughed. "No, it's my sister. Drew, this is Darcy Edwards, Darcy, this is Drew Torres"

They shook each others hands. "So there's two of you. How old is Darcy?" Asked Drew... Again.

She replied,"I'm 22 years old" and smiled.

He said,"Oh, so 4 years apart?"

We nodded. "Cool" said Drew.

"ELI! Drew's here! Let's go!" I yelled.

He came walking fast with a game controller in his hand. He put it down and greeted Drew,"Hey"

Drew smiled and all 3 of us left. "Bye guys! Good luck Clare!"

I replied,"Thanks Darce! I'll need it"

We walked to or car. Eli drove. I sat next to him and Drew sat in the back. "Your sister seems nice" said Drew, breaking the silence.

"Yeah if you really get to know her" I said smiling.

It was 9:15 A.M. I honestly thought we weren't going to get to the office on time. We at least had to be there 5 minutes early.
