CLARKE:
It's been around 3 weeks since the 100 got sent to the ground. We were sent here to find out if Earth was livable and survivable. Turns out, it is. Me and Bellamy Blake, a stubborn but great leader, joined forces to lead the people and make sure everyone and everything was kept in order. We've ran into a couple bumps in the road while living down here. We came across a clan of Grounders, who were people that survived during the "destruction" on Earth, and managed to live through the chaos all these years. We've made peace with them, but we still don't trust them completely. They could turn their backs on us at any minute, but we need all the help we can get, so a compromise was the best solution.
The Ark is still up in space and we've managed to get in contact with them. They're coming down tomorrow actually. I'm nervous and excited to see my mom. I haven't seen her in what feels like forever, but I'm still not sure if I could forgive her for what happened to my dad. She got him killed! How can things ever go back to normal after something like this? But, nevermind all of that. Now was not the time to think of stuff like that.
Tonight the survivors of the 100 are having a celebration. We've decided that since the Ark and all the guards will be coming down soon, might as well have one last fun night before everything we know changes. It might not be the best idea but I certainly wasn't gunna stop everyone from having a good time.
I sat down on a chair watching over everyone, making sure I was sober enough to take care of those who needed it. If someone got hurt or decided to get a little rough, I needed to be the mature leader and step in. I wouldn't be much help if I were as drunk as everyone else.
I was staring down at the ground, drawing in the dirt with a stick. I love to draw and I was quite good at it, but it was only for fun. I didn't really know what I was drawing until I was finished. I drew... Bellamy Blake. I think. I looked up and saw he was walking towards me so I scribbled his face out of the dirt.
"Hey, Princess, why aren't you joined into all the fun?" he asked me with a smile.
"Because I need to watch over everyone. I'm a leader just like you. Why aren't you joining the fun? I figured you'd be in your tent with some girl by now."
"Please, you know me better than that Princess. I don't do that until the end of the night, remember? Besides, I haven't even picked out the lucky girl yet," he laughed to himself and stood up confidently which just made him seem cocky.
"Oh don't flatter yourself Bellamy. And don't call me Princess."
"Why not, Princess?"
Ugh. This guy really gets on my nerves.
"Because I have a name. It's Clarke."
"Pssh. I know what your name is. But Princess suits you better."
"And why is that?" I gave him a glare and stood up right in front of him. Trying to make him feel intimidated, but standing next to him with his height and strong body, it was impossible to intimidate the one and only, Bellamy Blake.
"Because you want what's right for your people and you rule beautifully." He grinned a cheesy smile and I just rolled my eyes.
"Bellamy Blake being nice? Calling me beautiful? Where'd you get that from because that couldn't have been an original Blake line?"
"Actually you're right. I stole it from Jasper."
We broke out laughing and sat down by the bonfire. We were the only ones there since everyone else was drinking it up in another corner of the camp, chugging Monty's moonshine. We stayed quiet for a while. Enjoying the silence and relaxation. It felt nice not hearing your name being called every 5 seconds.
"What's that?" Bellamy pointed to a spot on the ground.
"What's what?"
"That. All the scribbles. What did you draw?"
Crap. Think Clarke! Think!
"Uhhh... it was just the moon. Not a big deal."
"Oh. Well then why did you scribble it out?"
"I messed up on something."
"Oh ok." he stopped and looked up at the stars.
"Tomorrow's gunna be hell." he said with a sigh.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because I'm most likely going to die."
"What?? Why would you die?"
"No reason. Hey, I'm gunna go fetch some more wood. The fires going down."
He stood up and started to walk away. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
"Bellamy, nothing is going to happen tomorrow ok. I won't let anybody kill you. You have my word. And if anybody tries, you have a whole camp to stand up for you. Do you know how many of these people look up to you, how many would die for you? Your a great leader Bellamy and leaders don't go down without a fight. Whatever the reason may be for them killing you, I'm standing by your side all the way. Your not facing this alone."
He just stared at me after my so called "pep talk" and then have me a small smile.
"That's better. Now how about we go take a drink. You and me. What do you say?" I said while winking at him.
"I don't know Princess. Don't we have to stand watch? Look after all these people?"
"It's one drink Bellamy! Come on! It's my first one and I'm willing to share this "special moment" with you. Have a little fun!"
He just laughed and we walked towards the crowd of people huddling around Monty and his moonshine. Bellamy took my hand and squeezed it. I'm guessing that's a thank you but whatever it was, it felt nice.
