Chapter 3. Sibling Reunion.

Emma's P.O.V

I grabbed my keys, shoving it into the lock before flinging open the door.

"Liam!" I squealed in excitement.

Within a few seconds a tall brunette wearing a red plaid shirt emerged from the living room with a large grin plastered on his face. "Hey baby girl", he said, sounding just as happy as I was.

Never did I ever think I'd actually be so happy to see my brother.

I threw my bag on the ground and literally pounced on him. He stumbled backwards, almost losing his balance but he quickly regained it.

"Whoa someone's excited."

"Ahhh I can't believe you're here! I've missed you so much! I swear things have been so quiet around here since you left. I've not got anyone to fight with, except mum of course," I joked.

"Me too Ems! Now get off me and let me have a good look at you!" he said pulling away from me.

I let go of him reluctantly, almost like he'd vanish if I did so.

"Wow. Someone's grown taller and prettier", he complimented.

I grinned back at him like an idiot.

"Although, you're voice has gotten an awful lot whinier," he teased, earning a smack on his shoulder.

"You don't look bad either. I was so happy you finally got rid of your Justin Bieber hair during the XFactor, you looked like such a girl! Bless whoever got the idea of giving you a new haircut."

Liam rolled his eyes.

"Where's mum?" I asked, noticing that it was just the two of us in the living room.

"She had to go to work. Some urgent conference. But she wasn't happy about it."

"So, what's new?" Liam asked.

I grabbed two red bulls from the fridge, tossed one to Liam before jumping on the couch and placing my legs over Liam's lap. "Nothing really. I was going to have a brilliant summer until mum dropped the bomb," I sighed.

"Are you saying I'm boring? We could have twice the fun together," Liam said.

"Pfttt yeah sure. You'll be busy being a pop star and I'll just be my lazy, unproductive self for the whole of summer," I said before taking a sip of my drink. I didn't want to be bitter but I was still upset about the whole thing. Plus it was true; Liam would barely be at home so what was the point.
