They argued about the stupidest things. Well they were opposites. She didnt understand the whole 'opposites attract' thing. It didnt make sense.
They were arguing about what radio station to listen to. They had to go out of the city to buy Melissa the dress that they accidently ruined.
"Yes but if we listen to MY radio station, we'd have a chance of listening to Mistletoe," Ray said to her while driving.
"Yes but if we listen to MY CD we wouldnt need to hear that crap," she mocked him. "I mean, you need to expand your horizon in terms of music. Get a taste of what life is about besides girls," she continued.
"I don't need to expand my horizon. The song is good. Thats all that matters," he said mocking her. She got really angry with him. Music was everything to her. She didn't understand why he couldn't even give her favourite band a try. She wanted to listen to her Linkin Park CD instead of a stupid pop radio station.
It was just the two of them and everyone knew what happened when you put them together. Thats how they ended up in this situation anyway.
"All that matters? ALL THAT MATTERS? Are you out of your mind? You know I just can't stand-" she said and stopped herself.
"Can't stand what? " Ray asked but she couldn't really hear him. She was frozen in her seat seeing unwanted images of her past. "Levy?" He asked with a bit of concern. The flashback was finished so when he turned to quickly look at her, she moved her head to look out the window. The tears slowly fell down her cheeks.
She wanted to tell him what she saw. For once she wanted him to hold her, not fight with her. She wanted to tell him that she was okay, that this was normal but she couldn't. She was unable to speak and she knew that she wouldn't be able to for a few hours so she just silently let her tears fall knowing that no matter what, no one would know what happened. Whether she wanted it like that or not.
