I know what you're thinking, being a mermaid is amazing, being able to breathe under water is indescribable.. but when your father is king of the ocean and he is constantly arguing and stopping you from doing the things you love, it's so.. what do they call it?
'Stupid'
That's when I met Eric.
The sweetest guy in all of the land.
He has cute black hair and the hottest body, he understands me and loves me for who I am.
The only problem is Eric is a Human and a prince, so he has a lot of duties but he always makes time for me.
You're probably wondering how can a mermaid visit a human.. isn't that forbidden?
But I like to think that the forbidden rules should be forgotten.
And when my dad finally understood who I truly was and who I truly wanted to be.. he gave me the greatest gift of all..

-FLASHBACK-
I sat on the sturdy stone grey rock, watching Eric's palace.
Eric was sat on the beach playing with Max, not realising I'm calling his name.
A shallow splash of water occurred behind me, I looked over my shoulder and it was my father noticing my sorrow.

'Is he your future?'
My father had asked me.

'If only you knew what love is father, then you would understand'
I looked back at the beach.

My father sighed and aimed his golden tritant at my tail.
I had floated up in the air and twirled around until I felt 'sea sick'.
Eric shot his head up when he observed the bright glow of magic that was surrounding my body.
Then the impossible was possible..
I had legs.
I dropped into the ocean and swam towards Eric, and Eric swimming to me.
Once we reached each other Eric grabbed hold of my waist, lifted me up and twirled me around.
I tried to hide the fact that I was completely naked, but Eric didn't care.
He carried me back to shore, and I waved goodbye to my father.
Once I was inside Eric brought me to our bedroom and wrapped me up in some vehemence warm towels.
He kissed me softly and said
'I'm so happy you're here'
-END FLASHBACK-

Now you know the story.
I'm currently living my perfect life, and I can still go see my family from time to time.
Eric came outside on the balcony with me and hugged me from behind.
We looked at the prepossessing view of the kingdom and Eric had whispered in my ear..
'Look, this kingdom is all ours'.
