THE FUNERAL!

It rained the day of Grace's funeral, rain, fit for the occasion, he thought. It had been a week since they found her body, mangled and decayed, and somehow being there Jasper still had an unsettling feeling, a shudder every time someone mentioned her name, a vicious twist in his stomach when details of her death fluttered through the town. Jasper never really knew Grace—no one did—she kept to herself, she was quiet that way, too quiet; and yes though he never really knew Grace personally, the thought of her and her death frightened him, it frightened everyone really— in a matter of days Grace's mysterious death broke way through the town, leaving a dark and eerie gloom to blanket it.

The funeral was slow and painful, the whole town had made it, of course, she was Grace Witchaker— Of the Witchaker family, so an abundance of bodies at the funeral was to be expected. They weren't as he imagined—The Witchaker's—They were plain almost, nothing about them screamed extravagant, nothing about them seemed to fit their lifestyle. Their faces were pale, Grace had always stood apart from them, her Asian like features were nothing like her parents. The Witchaker's practically screamed old money, he knew it; they knew it, everyone in town knew it. They lived lavish in their cobbled stone palace, filthy rich as they were the only thing richer in that family was their obsession for perfection, it was what they strived to attain every day, perfection was a drug to them and like every drug too much of it was
deadly.

Perfection. He hates it.

Jasper shifts uncomfortably as he looms over the slab of black granite planted firmly into the ground, there was sense of irony in the gravestone, planted there it held an immortality, yet Grace was already gone, she had already begun her cycle of never ending mortification. Whilst her love ones congregate themselves at this stone, her body decays, but the stone is permanent, a reminder that nothing and no one can ever bring her back, and all that is left is a corpse and her story.

But this is what your here for isn't it. To hear the story of a sudden mysterious death and the girl behind it.
