CHAPTER6; Date.

It has been two days since I moved in. I was getting used to being around everyone. I would hang out with Colby, Jake, Devyn, and Kat more than anyone else, but I still took time to hang with the rest of my roommates.

Yesterday, Colby, Jake, Sam and I went and explored an abandoned waterpark for the Sam And Colby channel. I used to explore with Marie back in Florida a lot. It was really fun. Colby and I mostly hung out the entire time and we climbed up to roofs of buildings.

Today Colby was being really weird. Even though it's eleven in the morning, he hasn't really talked to me yet. He's just acting distant.

I go and hang out with Devyn. "Colby's being weird." I say to her.

"Really? That's different of him, usually you're the first person he talks to in the morning." Devyn said. I had told her that I had a crush on Colby. I shrugged it off and we hung out.

About an hour later Colby comes down and into the kitchen. I decided to go there too. "Valarie." Colby says catching my attention. "I have something to ask you." He said.

"What is it brockstar?"

"Well, I'm so nervous for this because I'm so afraid of rejection, but I just— Will you go on a date with me? Like tonight?" He asked.

I smiled widely. "Duh, I was hoping you'd ask because I didn't want it ask cause I'm so scared you'd say no." I tell him and he laughs.

"I'd never say no to you." He says, smiles. "I'll pick you up at six. Dress casually." He said and chuckled. I did the same and nodded to him.

"See you then lover boy."

It was around five-fifty and I was all ready for this date with Colby. I wore black jeans and a "XPLR" shirt. My hair was wavy and my makeup was natural.

I hear a knock on my door and I answer it. I was surprised to see Sam. "I am here to escort you." He said in a bold voice. I laugh and follow him downstairs.

We stop when we see Jake holding roses. "What the hell?" I ask and laugh at them.

"Here you go, M'lady." Jake said, handing me the bouquet of roses, I smile and take them. I follow Jake and Sam outside to see Colby standing by his car, looking all blushy,

"Colby, you're so cheesy!" I say to him and give him a hug. He laughs and shrugs.

"Well you better like it cheesy."

"I do." I say. I hand Sam the roses so he could put them in a vase, then I get into the car. "So Colbs, where are we going?" I ask.

"To my favorite place ever." He comments, and I nod and we keep on driving.

After fifteen minutes we pull up at a diner. "Danny's Diner?" I read off of a sign.

"Yes. I usually go here a lot by myself. To get away from things. Life, you know." He says, and I nod. "You're the first person I've brought here." That caused my heart to flutter.

We walked in and it smelt delicious. "Cole!" An older man calls, bro hugging Colby. Danny, is what his name tag read. "Who's this beautiful young lady?" He asks.

"This is Valarie Beau. She's my date tonight." Colby explained and smiled over to me. "This is Danny."

"Hi, nice to meet you." I say, shaking his hand. He smiles and guides us to a table.

I look around at the quiet diner. It was so peaceful. I could see why Colby comes here alone all the time. "You look beautiful." He says, causing me to blush and cover my face.

"Stop doing that." I joke, as he smiles.

"What? You're beautiful and you should know it." Colby says again. I laugh and shake my head.

A girl comes up to get our order. When she leaves Colby started talking. "I like you, like I really do." He said.

"How so?" I ask.

"I don't know. You make me feel happy, in a way. I just have this crazy crush on you Valarie." He explains as my heart skips a literal beat because of his words.

"No way, I have this major crush on you too!" I say in a little girl voice. He laughs and grabs my hand.

"I'm not going to ask you out." He said, and my heart skunk. "Not yet at least. Maybe after my birthday, I don't know." He said, smiling at me.

I smiled back. His birthday was in three days. "I can't wait to give you your gift." I say, smiling at him.

He rolls his eyes. We get out food and talk the entire time. Colby was perfect. I was falling for him I think. I don't know. He just makes me feel so happy!
