walking out from the school ground is the best thing to ever do every weekdays.

donghyuck and his friends are on their way home, playing childish games on the sidewalk, chasing each other every time they make a joke about the other.

one by one, everyone started changing their paths.

now, it's only donghyuck and chaerin left. the boy then suddenly stopped and faced his friend. ❝i have a question.❞ donghyuck started and the girl just hummed in response.

❝so like, haechan and i are different right?❞

the girl once again hummed.

❝then how did i get inside his body and where the hell is haechan?❞ donghyuck said, feeling utterly confused on everything after getting his memories and wings back.

chaerin was about to just hum in response again but quickly held her breath and stopped on her tracks as she stare at the guy who's blocking their way.

❝and why do we look so alike?❞ donghyuck continued to question. he waited for a response from his friend but none was heard.

instead, he looked at the guy his friend is starting at while holding her breath. ❝hey, why aren't you breathing?❞ donghyuck poked the girl's cheek.

he then bowed at the boy in front of them. ❝i'm sorry on her behalf for blocking your way sir.❞ donghyuck grabbed hold of the girl's forearm and dragged her away from the boy.

❝wait!❞

the two turned around and was met with the same boy. ❝you two attends Dream High right?❞

❝are you blind or something?❞ donghyuck asked in annoyance while pointing the badge that's on his uniform for the boy to see.

he just wants to go home already and cuddle up with his big baby lion cub and probably catch up on the things he missed after a year. yup, a year.

it has been a year ever since his wings was cut. though, it felt like it was just weeks ago. mark is such a patient boy.

❝yes, i'm blind. blinded by love.❞ the boy said in all honesty. ❝i need to see taeyong, your papa.❞

donghyuck frowned at how the guy knew who taeyong is. he then raised a brow at how the boy addressed taeyong as his 'papa'. ❝i'm sorry but taeyong is not my papa and i don't know him.❞

❝do you hate him that much to the point you will lie?❞ the boy questioned.

donghyuck scoffed. ❝you're crossing over the line mister. it's none of your business.❞ the tanned male said and hid chaerin behind him, scared that the guy might do something to them.

❝i'm not going to hurt you. i'm jaehyun, your dad.❞ the guy cracked a small smile as he tried to approach donghyuck but the boy quickly took a step back and tightens his hold on his friend.

❝rin, isn't he the devil lord-y from minhyung's realm?❞ the boy asked in a whisper at his friend. the girl just nodded aggressively, too scared to talk.

❝okay, get your wings ready, we're going to fly away in the count of three.❞ the boy added and faced jaehyun after with a small smile.

❝one,❞ he started, eyes not leaving the guy in front of him.

❝two,❞ he had detached his hand from chaerin's forearm and prepared for his wings to be freed.

but before he could even count to three, the devil himself had said it and his true form is out. ❝three, you're going with me.❞

❝chaerin! fly!❞ donghyuck shouted as he pushed the girl away from them. the girl hesitates if she should listen to her friend or help him get away from jaehyun.

❝you idiot! i said fly! leave me now! i can handle myself, don't worry.❞ a lie. he knew himself, he's a weakling. he can't even hurt a mosquito.

❝i'll tell mark!❞ chaerin shouted before flying away. she really wanted to help her friend but she knew that even with her help, donghyuck would still be taken by jaehyun and so, she decided to just get help from mark.

❝why can't i get my wings out?!❞ donghyuck groaned as he tried multiple of times to let his wings out but failed.

he then looked at jaehyun who's slowly approaching him. every time the guy takes a step forward, donghyuck takes a step back.

and while that continues, his left wing appeared. ❝what the hell is happening?❞ he questioned himself.

❝just come with me donghyuck.❞ jaehyun reached out a hand for donghyuck to hold.

but the tanned male shook his head. ❝no, my brother told me to never go with a devil.❞

❝brother?❞ the devil let out a bitter chuckle. ❝oh please, you actually believe he's your brother?❞

❝w-what do you mean?❞

❝lee donghyuck, my son and the heir to my throne, lee taeyong is NOT your brother. he is your father! he gave birth to you!❞ jaehyun shouted and grabbed the younger's wrist.

❝and i am your other father!❞

❝no you're not. i know my hyung. he will never let a devil in his life.❞ donghyuck tried to free his wrist from the devil's tight hold.

❝you're coming with me whether you like it or not, son.❞ jaehyun firmly said and stretched his wings before flying away with donghyuck in his arms.

❝not so fast, jung jaehyun.❞

❝m-minhyung! are you here?!❞ chaerin's voice echoed around the four walls of the mansion.

❝d-donghyuck is in d-danger!❞

and with a blink of an eye, the devil she was looking for is right in front of her. ❝what did you say?❞

❝d-donghyuck is i-in danger!❞ she repeated while catching her breath.

❝where is he now?!❞

chaerin raised up a hand, indicating that she needed to catch her breath for a second. ❝jaehyun. he took him.❞

❝that bastard.❞ minhyung clenched his jaw before dashing out of the mansion while transforming to his devil form and quickly flying in the sky as soon as he got out from the mansion.

❝please don't let history repeat itself.❞ chaerin mumbled as she watch minhyung fly away to save his donghyuck.

❝just please don't.❞ she cried before leaving the mansion and going to heaven.
